QuickBooks won't use Thunderbird since this last update

I think the last Thunderbird has broken my ability to send reports from QuickBooks to Thunderbird. It has worked wonderfully for years and now I cannot send anymore. I have QB 2024 Enterprise. Does anyone have a fix for this? I have made sure Thunderbird is the default app in both Thunderbird and Windows. I have not upgraded my windows 10 to windows 11. I hope that is not the problem.

Did Thunderbird update to a 64bit version?

Help menu > about to check

Try rolling back to an earlier version.

I just spent about 2 hours on with QuickBooks telling them they had a problem.

It turns out that the problem was with the Thunderbird update. I had recently received the 147.0.2 update. This happened in the background so I didn't know it was done.

I uninstalled Thunderbird and reinstalled version 144.0 and it works again.

I think that I owe QuickBooks an apology... and Thunderbird perhaps owes US one...

I thought I had posted the solution here, my apologies....

I figured out my Thunderbird program needed to be 64 bit and as soon as I upgraded TBird to 64 bit, my problem was solved. Apparently my operating system (which is still Windows 10) wanted to stay on a 32 bit Tbird.

I also think it was QB fault, it was after an update THEY did, not Tbird, for me, that caused the inability to email within QuickBooks after 12/31/25.

Hope this helps someone.
