Cannot create profile after installing firefox on mac

I installed firefox, after the first start it asks to create profile, I choose to create new one, use default folder, but it says that profile cannot be created as this folder isn't writable. Why is that? I opened that folder and I can write files into it and create subfolders. It means that folder is writable. What's the browser that I can't even start after installation?
