My windows 10 was performing very poorly so i had to reinstall it. After fresh installation of windows 10 in my laptop, when i asked firefox browser to sync the data, it did nothing.

All my bookmarks and passwords are gone. I reinstalled the browser and nothing happened.

Last year, i installed firefox in a my same laptop (windows 10 reinstalled), Firefox synced all of the data, including my add-ons.

I had a plenty of bookmarks which are gone now, really need some help.

I am so worried. Somebody please help.

Do you have any other device synced to your firefox account? go to account settings > sign in to your firefox account > press "sync now"

settings > sign in to your firefox account > press "sync now" Sync icon starts rotating for a little while then stops, nothing gets restored. Tried many times now. Even tried re-installing firefox (I also deleted the Mozilla folder from "roaming" and "local" folders): C:\Users\XYZ\AppData\local C:\Users\XYZ\AppData\roaming No solution worked.

I only had my laptop's firefox browser synced prior to the windows re-installation. Did not even take any backup of bookmarks (as i was 100% sure that firefox would restore my data including my add-ons, like it did in the past, back in early 2019)

In early 2019, i went through a similar scenario (re-installation of windows) and firefox restored my each bit of data. Even at that time firefox was running ONLY on my laptop.

But this time it restored NOTHING, which was very surprising for me. I am so sad, lost all my bookmarks. I can recover my passwords by pressing: "forget password" button on most websites, but i had some bookmarks which did not want to lose.

Is there a way that i may get my bookmarks back? just the bookmarks..

So you have multiple devices signed in to Firefox? If yes, make sure that all Firefox browsers are of the same version and try again.

No dear,

I had firefox ONLY in my laptop before the fresh installation of windows. I always had firefox in one device ONLY (that is my laptop). I guess i have lost my bookmarks forever and i am having a feeling i cannot restore them by any means.. right?
