Overnight Thunderbird does not receive messages from a POP server

more options

I am running Thunderbird 45.2.0, Window 10 with anniversary update installed. It worked fine until today

I have 5 POP email accounts with one ISP. As of this morning I can send email but I cannot receive email on any account. I have a couple of POP email accounts on hotmail and they work fine. The ISP claims it has something to do with an MS push security update.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks

Found solution. The "connection security" was set to STARTTLS and it worked fine for years. Now it must be set to SSL/TLS. There must have been a change on the ISP server

Try this:

Change Connection security: None. (Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Security Settings)
