I have been told that when people receive my emails the font type and size changes during the email even though from my end it looks ok. I'm using Windows 10 but I think it is connected to 'varied' or 'fixed' font size settings. What should I have it set to as it changes during the email.

Many thanks

You cannot control the font, font-size and color that a recipient uses to display your messages. He can override any option that you send him.

Let's say that you have a fancy font ('fancyfont' - size 11 pixels, with rainbow colors). So you carefully compose your message, line up the text perfectly, check it thoroughly, and then send it to your friend, expecting him to be impressed with your efforts.

Your friend does not have 'fancyfont' on his machine, so his email reader will substitute a different font (plainfont) using a different font-size (16px) and displaying in a hideous green, his favorite color. This is not what you intended.

Or, maybe he wants to view all mail as text using 'Times New Roman' or 'Courier' with font-size 8px. Your formatting is shot

Use the standard fonts when composing a message, Most people will have them installed on their computer and they will see your message close to how you see it on your own machine.

If you really want to force the user into displaying your font, font-size and layout and colors, convert your message to PDF and send the message as an attachment to your mail.
