Oddity with RSS Syndication Account Folder Tree

I love Thunderbird.

I setup my Thunderbird to receive RSS feeds. Works great. I have this at the top of my email account list. I get my RSS feeds in the morning, read them, and done for the day. I then collapse the tree containing the syndicated RSS feed listings. There are times when I quit Thunderbird, control+Q, the tree expands. It does not happen all of the time, but about half of the time. The focus is on the in box of one of my email accounts.

Why does this folder tree expand when quitting Thunderbird?
