For some reason the program has stopped saving my passwords, all of my bookmarks are still listed but they are disabled. No autofill. When I manually put in a username and password the program drop down asks me if I want to save it, I reply yes, but it doesn't happen.

- par contre, il me demande les mots de passe à chaque connexion depuis deux jours - j'ai supprimer le fichier key4 mais lorsque je relance rien ne change ; il demande les mots de passe de tous les comptes.

Every time I log into a website Firefox pops up asking if I want to save the password. I do not want this prompt to appear. Where is the setting to turn off the save-password prompt completely? I am on the latest Firefox desktop on Windows. Thank you.

I've noticed on some website when I put in my username and password for the first time I don't get a drop-down box to save my credentials. I have saved several hundred credentials this way, but some sites don't initiate the drop-down. I have checked manage exceptions, but I have no exceptions I don't see a way to force the save. Any ideas how to save them without keeper a list someplace else.

Greetings, I must say I'm perplexed and dumfounded with my problem. Without rhyme or reason, when I check my email throughout the day I will notice that the email has not synced for a period of time. I then go to check my settings, in particular, the fetching email setting and the sending email setting, and when I test them to determine that they are working I get the screen that explains there is a problem with syncing. I then look at the passwords and they appear to be old passwords that are no longer used nor valid. I delete the old passwords, input the current and valid passwords and then test the connection and synchronization and they rapidly sync without any errors. I have 4 emails registered in my Thunderbird account and it happens randomly to all 4of the emails. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. Needless to say, I spend a bit of time continually having to go to settings, delete the old password, enter the new one, and then everyone good. At least for a short while. I'm not sure if I stumped you guys with this one, or, hopefully, someone else has experienced the same thing. Duplicity if this problem excited me, not because the problem exists, but because sometime else has experienced the same thing and I would feel at ease knowing that I am not going insane. I hope you guys can help me with this. Please let me know whatever steps you think I should take to start sleuthing for a solution. My fingers are crossed. Also, I would like to extend many thanks and my gratitude for the tireless effort you all contribute selflessly to the support and maintenance of a wonderful app, and the continual persistence of if the project for all these years. Oh I almost forgot to mention that I saw a link for the opportunity to use/test the Beta Version, but suddenly I am unsure a to whether I should proceed with setting the beta up. I'm not sure if it will complicate the potential for a solution to my problem, or if the Beta App is completely separate and isolated from the Current stable release. Probably related to a Microsoft update, Thunderbird started asking for the password of my internet provider almost daily several weeks ago when sending or receiving messages. I am on Windows 11 and that is up to date.

After reinstalling a Windstream.net email account I continue to have Authentication Required errors at startup. Popup messages only occurs during thunderbird startup. And Only on my Windstream.net email accounts. not my outlook.com and Gmail accounts.

the following is the popup window during Thunderbird startup.

"Authentication Required - Mozila Thunderbird https://imap.windstream.net is requesting your username and password."

I entered the username and password and check the save box. The popup returns with the same error asking for the same info. If I just select CANCEL, it pops up 2 more times and after the third cancel, the popup shows no more. The account fills with any incoming emails from Windstream.net. The Windstream.net account seams to work normal from that point on. I Can send and receive fine with no more popups. Until I restart thunderbird then this error starts all over. Is this a thunderbird or Windstream.net issue? Any suggestions on a fix? Also I have a gmail and outlook.com account with no issues.

I was recently forced to change my gmail password. All of the help messages I found tell me that after I change my email password I have to save the new password to Thunderbird and I don't know where to save it.

Je rencontre un problème au niveau du password. En effet, sur un ordinateur thunderbird ne veut pas garder en mémoire le mot de passe que l'on renseigne en cochant la case gestionnaire alors qu'on arrive bien a s'y connecter quand on utilise nos outils internes.

Pouvez me dire si c'est un bug et comment le ressoudre svp ?

Ive got appx 10-15 accounts in thunderbird about 5 or 6 DONT rememeber or keep the passwords (for gmail)... others do (for gmail)

Ive got it set as I recall for imap, but when I open thunderbird I get the google popup to sign in (it does as Ive got the PW right) but it never remembers those ones and constantly keeps asking me wither if I leave thunderbird open or if I close it and reopen it... again the PW's are correct as it DOES log in just for some reason thunderbird isnt saving or remembering them anyone have any idea as to why ? thanks in advance !!

I recently noticed that firefox doesn't save my logins on android. I first thought maybe it was due to a settings to delete all save data on closing (with some exceptions made) that I made on Firefox for my PC that has the same account as on my android. So I first cleared all app data but it didn't change a thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled from the Google play store but same issue. Really hope that this is fixed. Firefox is my go-to browser on my PC so having this issue on my android is quite disappointing.
