Why does thunderbird keep turning on threaded view? I have mailnews.default_view_flags = 0 in config editor. I had all folders set to View>Sort by> Unthreaded. Still, Thunderbird will randomly change a folder to threaded view and I have to change it back again. So, why does thunderbird keep turning on threaded view?

You asked for feedback on what I think of the new version (111.0b3 (64-bit)). I am not impressed.

Why can't I select a group of messages with the shift key, then skip one or more, and then add another group using the shift and ctrl keys like I could in the previous version?

Where is the Delete button and the Mark button and why can't I add them?

Why does your Release Notes that popped up when I opened Thunderbird ask me to tell how I like the product and then give me a link that I have to sign up or sign into in order to voice my concerns. Even then there is no place on the page that opens that asks for comments, only this support page. Why should I have to log in to offer comments and why doesn't your link take me to a comment box or something?

That's just a couple of things I have found in the first two minutes of using the new version. Is there a way I can go back to the older version until you get these things fixed?

Keep receiving a pop-up messages, saying that my PDQ (My old ISP, now is Rise Broadband) settings are out of date. Contacted my ISP and rec'd help to reconfigure. Now, I am unable to send messages from my Inbox (Thunderbird). Rise Broadband has given up and tells me to contact Thunderbird. I am an elder user and 'reading' anything technical is beyond my capacity. Can anyone help me?

I can receive e-mails but I can not send them. Originally the application was asking for a password. Now the out going e-mails just fail. I have a Road Runner account and I CAN send mail from my web mail account. I have spent a good deal of time with the Spectrum support people but they have not idea why I can not send e-mails from my Thunderbird account. If some one out there can help me with this I would greatly appreciate their assistance. Mark

I changed the password on my Yahoo mail account several times due to hijacking of my mail account. Thunderbird will no longer let me send mail or forward mail. It asks for the password but it wont accept it. Why. how do I get Thunderbird to store my password for Yahoo? This is very aggravating to say the least. This means I have to go into Yahoo to send the mail or to forward the mail got. I did not have this problem until I changed my password. Lets get this fixed so we don't have to have all these problems.

So, suddenly Thunderbird stopped downloading my Hotmail emails saying password was invalid. I use POP settings and realise that two step authentication can be a problem but even deleting the old password in the password manager and obtaining a new app password doesn't work. I've also tried turning my antivirus (Avast) off to no effect. Is there something I need to do in the troubleshooting side of Thunderbird before I can resubmit the new Hotmail password? By the way it seems to work with IMAP settings but not the POP settings.

For about the 3rd time in my history of using Thunderbird I have just deleted pretty much my entire in box by fat fingering the delete key when cleaning out junk emails using shift/delete. If you fat finger the End key in the process all emails are selected to the end of the in box and then deleted with no prompt. This is an open man hole cover that needs to be closed. What program allows huge amounts of critical information to be deleted with no are you sure prompt? Some kind of prompt should appear if more than x number of emails are to be deleted, it would be nice if this was a configuration setting, it should default to 1, if more than 1 email is to be deleted the user is prompted, the user can set this to something higher if they want. Thunderbird is updated constantly which is great, please get this into an update soon!

My mail from Time Warner/Spectrum has stopped on Thunderbird. When I try to retrieve my e-mails, I "time out". Have the settings changed and/or how do I fix the problem? I can send e-mails from Thunderbird and retrieve them via internet just not on Thunderbird.

Could someone inform me about how to insert a non-breaking space (necessary for a bankaccount number) in Thunderbird? I am on Windows 10 and tried several options, like Ctrl+Shift+Space, or use   or with the Windows option to insert 'special signs', but nothing worked.

Hello... I regularly need to insert bullet points into my emails. I do not use paragraph spacing but whenever I put in bullet points into my email, all the text after the bullet point section is double space/paragraph spacing and I cannot change it back to 'Body Text'

I have tried the 'uncheck the checkbox 'Use paragraph format instead of Body Text by default' - it does not work.

Please advise, thank you.

There appears to be no way to do this -- unless anyone has figured it out.

That is, Thunderbird operates its own junk folder.

But my service provider has a spam folder. I would like to create a spam folder and map it to that folder, preserving the POP3 settings I use -- the same as I map my inbox to the server.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Hello, I have the following issue:

I want to move some of my locally saved e-mails to a file server, but not all of them since the local folder is gigabytes of emails, and I need to access the locally saved files from two computers (on the same network). Is there a way to have Thunderbird use both the local \\C: folder, and the one on our file server at the same time? Thanks in advance
