Thunderbird ściąga mi cały czas pocztę i dubluje. Zapycha mi komputer. WIem, ze mam skrzynkę 50Gb a na dyzku mam prawie 200 Gb w pliku, wg mnie ściąga raz na jakiś czas pocztę. Co mam zrobić? Arek

Thunderbird downloads and duplicates my mail all the time. It's clogging up my computer. I know that I have a 50Gb mailbox and I have almost 200Gb of files on my disk, so I think it downloads e-mail from time to time.

I can't use Thunderbird any more. I open an email and I get 7 copies up across the top of the screen. Delete does not get rid of them, and I am up to over 50 at this point. Please contact me directly at [removed phone# from public support forum] when you have fixed this. For reasons I have just outlined, email is not a good way to communicate.

I assume that everyone else is experiencing this disaster.

After installing Thunderbird 115.10.0 (64bit) on a WIN 11 system yesterday program does not close fully. It will not restart unless I use Task Manager to delete what is running or else reboot system.

My Thunderbird has been working properly for about 30 years, but now refuses to open. Message received says 'Authentication failed'. This happens repeatedly (for at least 20-30 times) and appears to relate to my password. It suggests 'Retry' or 'Enter new password'. The 'Retry' repeats as before so I check the Saved Passwords and enter the one saved. I get the same message. I am using Version 115 and have been for some time.

Could this be related to a change of Profile? There must be a way to reset the password? I have checked all the settings and no errors appear, all settings confirmed.

I have thought about a Recovery Mode and seem to remember seeing a message that I do have that. I just don't know how to access it.

top - left "get messages". either the button or on the account right click and get messages.

its been one or 2 days now that i press either and also on TWO DIFFERENT PC running win 10 and 115.9.0 version and nothing happens! doesnt get any messages. dont even get the Checking notification on the bottom left. auto message retrieve doesnt work either no matter the time period. its like i am clicking on empty space... a while after, just by itself, it starts downloading again.

Since applying update 115.10.0, Thunderbird will not close correctly and will not relaunch until task is ended in task Manager. This is true on a windows 7 PC and windows 10.

How do I go about fixing error message regarding Incoming Mail: UID Fetching Failed

I tried support page, but all threads archived. Not sure how to proceed? Be kind too as I'm also pretty old!

I see that there are 9 messages...Tried tools, checked account settings and couldn't find anything.

back in 1916-18 the ability to disable the "SHOW PASSWORD" Button worked with with a variation of the following at that time user_pref("pref.privacy.disable_button.view_passwords", true); I believe I created and used chrome.css or chrome.js

At some point this functionality ceased to work.

Now, I have scoured the Net to figure out a Solution simply setting the value to True, gets reset by Thunderbird, TB does not save it. it always reverts back to False and the button remains available and does not disable

I have tried everything, adding it in user.js, settings.js, userChrome.js I put it in every directory, nothing seems to work

Do I have to Lock it? - How? confusing and disappointing.

Please provide a simple step by step Solution to the problem

I created my email signature and saved it as an HTML file. When I add it in my account settings, it displays the logo I have as a blank box. It also adds extra spacing in between each line. How do I get it to display the way I saved it?

i have been away from my pc for 6 weeks and cannot access thunderbird. it repeated states that the login server IMAP.telstra.com failed my email hillsec@bigpond.net.au i have tried changing the in server and outgoing server to match my ipad and iphone which can receive emails. please help me to restore everything in thunderbird.

Thunderbird auto updated to 115.10.1 and now it is behaving strangely.

1. The Message Filter has "Junk" at the bottom of the list of filters and anything that is not sent to a folder gets sent to the Junk folder. Instead all the junk is going to the Inbox.

2. Folders that have new email show up in blue highlighted folder as they should. But if I select those emails and read them, they remain highlighted but without the blue color.

3. Sometimes when I delete an email after reading, it deletes for a moment and then returns to the folder as unread. Multiple attempts to delete fail.

Last week, sometime, I received ALL the emails, that have come into my "mailbox", from about the time I purchased my latest computer, several years ago. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of the little critters. All arranged alphabetically, starting with the letter "a". So far, the ONLY solution I've found from "Thunderbird Help", is to 1. Open inbox 2. Select [left click] one of the repeated emails. 3. This high lights the email in BLUE. 4. Select BOTH "CONTROL & A" KEYS at the same time. 5. This highlights the WHOLE PRESENT page of emails in BLUE. 6. The instructions then say to press the "DELETE" key. 7. Question is- IF I PRESS THE "DELETE" key, will that just delete the emails on this page, OR delete EVERY email in my entire "inbox"? The only OTHER remedy I've tried, is to send the unwanted emails, ONE at a time, to the "TRASH" folder, then empty the "TRASH" folder, when I get 10-15 emails in it. That could take a VERY long time. Without notice, Thunderbird today required me to sign-in to my Google account and then produced a window in which it said it wanted to access to my mail, contacts and calendar; in order to compose, send, share, delete permanently, among actions on my personal content. I tried to "Deny" (see below) but the window just returned and returned and could not be deleted. (see "Uploaded images", below for the content of this window).

Is this a scam? Or the result of a hacker?

I am trying to download your program, before I am allowed to select what I want, your software decides which version I need. It then wont let me install it because I need windows 7 or later. Your software has seen I am running windows 10 and downloads what it thinks is the right version but then wont let me install it. Every time I try to get the the page displaying the various programs , it is covered up with a page asking for money so I cant see it. Very poor. How do I get round this.
