I was just recently searching through Firefox which was using chrome 1. I was searching 'front to front, ink transfer, $1 dollar bill paper currency, variety, error' (i may have used a (,) after '$1 dollar bill,' ⬅as see right here and/OR I also may have used an (s) after 'varieties, errors' ⬅as seen here in quotes. 2. I had advanced the pages approximately 3 times, so I was under the 3rd page under the above (3) search possible keyword string searches. 3.i had clicked on a websight which would be the exact last site in my browser history before exiting and closing tabs, & erasing the data in both apps of chrome and firefox, which I'm on android. 4.when I clicked the site the infamous you are a winner of a brand new_____virus I assumed and I got really panicky. 5.i tried to press back it would not let me the thing popped up again. VERY QUICKLY and panicky it was a pop up on a blue back ground and something similar to 'you are a winner Firefox customer', so it specifically said Firefox and not chrome. 6. I SAW THE BLUISH PURPLE BOX FROM FIREFOX that notifies that it blocks trackers, only this time it said, 'virus detected, 60% downloaded, may damage your SIM card', it said other stuff, but I was very panicked, so I didn't read the rest. 7. I clicked on the tabs button and closed both tabs. 8. went to settings. App manager. Then 'cleared data' in both chrome and firefox. 9.updated lookout app and secured. However, I was hoping that because I'm sharing whichever information with Firefox as per 'terms' I was hoping there is a possibility that since I was using chrome and firefox, that you would be able to fix this virus issues or report the information to whichever securities, y'all you for that kind of stuff, to fix it or may be track the people who have set it up etc. I am unaware of your prtcols with this kind of stuff, however, the screen did use the term 'firefox customer' so I don't know if they are targeting your customers or if it's programmed to just {fill in the blank here↪[_____]of whichever 'NAME' of the service provider}(of each victim)automatically, once clicked.

    • at that time I was not logged in with an account as i didnt know about doing that, but I was signed into chrome, i believe under ... @gmail.com although I did erase my app history...i guess I should check if my browser history was paused in my gmail account at the time. If so maybe it's possible to find the exact site if requesting information from Google although I'd assume that you probably have the same access, at least to my browser history since I was using Firefox. I just don't know if me deleting the app info on my device if it might somehow hinder your further access, but I also assume you probably have the information backed up in servers for this type of access. Please let me know if you need some thing else through email. I'm sure you probably have my device credentials and ip address etc, phone number, especially now that I had to make an account to access the contact services , my account is under ... @gmail.com, to refer to the account I just made, if possible can you please update me about this matter if it is at all possible, not to much trouble or time, I greatly appreciate any efforts that whomever these emails go to and the support departmeant for the efforts made in making the internet safe as well, I'm greatly appreciative, sincerely THANK YOU, soo much. Have a woderfull day and hopefully a productive iniative in this effort. Thanks

Fire fox has misleading prompts I had went on the support site and I purposefully did NOT press "to post my question to a community forum" it has myinfo in the freaking post as i thought i was contacting support please be more clear as when you put the big purple square that says post to community if i wanted to then i would have proceeded to click the big purple box, but since I clicked get help I did not assume I would be posting to a forum, I'm glad I put the email that's already been around the world at least. Maaaaan,...thats sooo dirt! Misleading prompts sick! So can any one tell me how do I actually get in contact with actual technical supports or maybe how to contact moderators to have my information removed. I had tried to alert them to how I accidentally accessed a website with a virus to make internet safer. Now my email is posted but at least everyone knows exactly where not to go if they don't want a virus. Exclude me but it's slightly frusting so please BE AWARE THAT ALL PROMTS I'VE PRESSED☆ TO AVOID ☆ POSTING PUBLICLY ☆HAS STILL☆ POSTED MY ISSUE PUBLICLY.I' ALSO A bit frustrated because I don't see any options anywhere to access a moderator so just saying if y'all don't want your query public...oh well, it will be!Ughz gotta research how to edit now time I didn't want to waste with a warning or alert and more computer skills school I guess it serves me. TO BE CLEAR MY ISSUE IS CAN Y'ALL PLEASE MAKE THE PROMPTS MORE CLEAR AND CONCISE EXACT AND ABSOLUTELY CLEAR THATS IT'S POSTED FORUM

When I hit the share button on a site (I discovered this on an album on Flickr), it does give me the option to share to every single app possible on my phone, but I can't just copy the link and place it in my clipboard. That's so frustrating because it is sometimes so much easier to just copy the link into the clipboard and paste it later, even when you want to share it to multiple places so much easier to copy it.

I'm using a OnePlus 9 pro running android 11 (OxygenOs 11.2.9.9.LE15BA).

Hello everyone

I couldn't find the answer looking here at support page.

Scenario:

1.Link received by WhatsApp 2.Hit the link launched Firefox (which is my default phone browser) and Firefox displayed the google form 3.Google form API automatically filled the form email field with google account email

Question: from where google form get the email address data'

I made several tests and I can confirm Firefox allows google form API to read my phone settings. Cos, If I send the link to another phone with a different google account the behavior is the same: once link is open the google form autofill the email field with the google account email on that phone.

Isn't supposed FF will block tracking stuff?

This is not related with auto fill settings. I also made that test too, by wiping history data and results are the same. In fact the google form displays the message 'not your account? change it'

I would like to know if I can change this behavior on FF and if possible, why is not enabled by default. This kind of settings does not provide privacy at all.

Recently my Google pixel phone got the Android 12 update. Since then I'm having issues with Firefox loading websites like Walmart, Sams club, Lowes. It seems to be serving the desktop versions and it is hard to navigate. The toggle switch for "Desktop Site" is off, so not sure why it is showing the desktop site. The attached images show how Walmart site shows in Chrome and Firefox. My firefox version is 94.1.2. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Hi all!

To test this I did a complete fresh install of Firefox on Android. After installation I paired Firefox with my account via firefox.com/pair. On my PC the main password is activated and supposed to protect my passwords via encryption. After pairing and enabling the password sync option all my stored passwords are available on the Android phone. And I even can have a look at them in clear text.

This is a huge problem since it never asked me for my main password. This password is supposed to be required to decrypt this data. Which means this data is not encrypted on the Firefox servers. Which in turn means even my passwords I use on the PC are not secure.

According to all documentation I read until now I was assuming my data is only stored encrypted and can only be restored with the main password. Right now I don't really know what to do. I require a secure password store.

Many Greetings! Remo

Firefox Daylight (94.1.2) > Secret Settings > Use third party CA certificates (Allows the use of third party certificates from the Android CA store)

1. There are devices with Android Operating System that DO NOT have the possibility of installing certificates in the User's Storage.

2. It seems that Firefox does NOT recognize and accept those certificates that have been installed in the System Storage.

I say "it seems not" because I do not know the root of the problem. However, this has been the case since the "Secret Settings" appeared: Firefox does NOT serve the certificates installed in the System Storage.

And this causes a big problem for all Firefox users whose Android devices only allow to install certificates in the System Storage.

In that situation, Firefox does not work properly when it must interact with another magnificent application such as AdGuard AdBlocker.

Please, note that I do not speak of AdGuard as a Firefox "add-on"...

And, for what you want more, I beg you that, although the approach to this problem may be somewhat difficult to understand, put all your attention on the fact that Firefox seems to fail to use any certificate that has been stored in the System.

I'm just trying to warn everyone about this big bug in the hope that you, guys at Mozilla, can and will fix it.

Why does FF make you search all over again for logins/passwords? If I search for a login and get multiple hits and after I look at one and click the back button I have to search all over again to get back to the same results. Is this a feature or a bug? Is there a setting I need to change? If it's a feature can you add a feature that lets us go back to the same results if we click the back button?

Thank you, Matt

Hey guys, why does the firefox android could not click a very simple small button? For example an "x" button (cancel) and etc. As long as it's small the firefox would not interact with it properly, instead when i click it firefox thought that i long pressed that small button and its kinda annoying because what i need to do is to zoom in for that button just so the firefox could properly click that and not long pressed. Problem is almost all the websites i visit has a button like that and so does it mean i will literally need to zoom a simple "x" button or any kind of small details on a webpage just for firefox could properly identify them? Example of whats happening link Browser: latest firefox android Device: Realme 6 , 8/128

I would like to change my homepage but can't figure out how to. I was able to do it easily on my laptop but I can't figure out where to go in the settings to make this change. This phone came with Google Chrome but there have been too many issues being warned about so I decided to make the change to you since you have always been the browser on my laptop anyway. Forbes as you listed as one of the top two most secure browsers. I just want to change my own page if you can help please. I will be ever so thankful for any effort you make on my behalf. Have a great day.. stay healthy and happy!

A recent unwanted Firefox for Android automatic update has replaced all the open tabs and history with a different set of tabs and history. The tabs and history I had before the automatic update are now gone and in their place are a set of tabs which I had in a previous install of Firefox on the same device, but some time ago.

Some of the tabs I had open in the session before were important (reminders, notes for things, pages I needed to look at for various reasons, etc.).

Any ideas how I can get this session back?

Some ideas:

How do I find out the version of Firefox that was installed prior to the automatic update, for the purpose of reverting to it and hoping the previous tabs are there?

Is it possible that data for two Firefox installations are on the phone, even though only one installation is listed? This must be the case with histories and tabs because a bunch of old tabs and an old history have appeared along with the automatic update. Any idea where this data is stored with Firefox Android?

I'm not too worried about the history. I had that synced anyway. The open tabs is the main thing.

Thanks for any help.

PS. Any other users who wish to avoid this happening please note, automatic updates can be turned off in the google play store app, in settings. You can then backup your tabs if and when you wish to update Firefox.
