This has been a long standing problem with FF Android, and I have posted about it before, but it is now creating enough problems that I have switched to chrome. I'm guessing that the reason that it has not been addressed is that the people responsible for ff android are not seeing it, can't recreate it and assume that the problem is not with the app. A couple of observations from a long time ff android user.
The problem is that on some pages (CNN.COM) is one example, if a link on the main page is tapped, that page loads. When the user then taps the <back> button to return, ff android always returns to an older cached copy of the same page.
Trying to figure out what's happening, I finally suspect that the problem is probably because ff android is programmed to always return back to the cached copy of the original page.
However, some pages such as CNN.COM load as the user scrolls through the main page. As a result, a cached copy of current page does not exist since the main page is still loading. As a result the reader is always returned to an old copy of the main page.
The problem is exacerbated in ff android because it is extremely easy to accidentally tap links. When this happens, the only option for the user is to open the ff menu and tap the <reload> button and wait (a long time when near the bottom of the page) for the current page to reload. fwiw, ff has forced me to always use "load in new tab" for any links that I do want to visit, since, in that case, the main page is still loaded in it's own tab.
PLEASE FIX THIS... I would really like to be able to return to ff android.
Thanks in advance,
