In the old days I could generate a HTML folder containing several htm files and view them with desktop firefox.
I then copied them to a folder in internal storage on my phone and could view and sort with firefox mobile. Even better I could save four of these folders on my home screen. Each had its own colour box. I don't know whether it is possible to rename the box because the file name is too long to be usable but no matter I learnt the colours. I could renew the file and it kept on working. Great it did exactly what I wanted.
Now that has all gone.
I can still open the file in mobile but when I save it to the home screen I get an Android icon with a tiny firefox and 'app not installed' without any clue as to what app it is. I can put the file in 'collections' but can't get that on the home screen either and heaven knows where that lives, it is a lot of key presses for it to sometimes turn up.
Use firefox focus to save your webpage to the home screen it says. Great I say so I install it. But that won't work either because my file that I created gets locked somewhere and I don't know how to unlock it.
So there I am stuck, because a simple thing that worked well doesn't, I have spent hours and I am thoroughly fed up!!
