On Firefox version 140.8 using a MacBook Air, shortcuts for Extensions no longer appear as icons in the toolbar.

Online guidance to get Extension icons back in the Toolbar have failed. One suggested following the jigsaw icon in the toolbar to 'Extensions'. But none of the links under Extensions included the option to 'pin to the toolbar'. Another suggested using the 'Customizing the Toolbar' route. That too included no option to add Extensions.

Anyone know a better fix? Your suggestions are much appreciated!

Dear all,

for two days (as of march 21) any search request is denied, no results are despayed. Instead a message window pops up: "Error: Routing error", the requested website (here: duckduckgo.com) would send the request into an endless loop. This problem only occurs using the mac-version of FF 148.02. The moblile version runs as normal, and another browser, Safari, works as he should.

I tested all my add-ins (switching off and on), private mode produces the same result. So, could you give a hint, is it (my) single, private issue?

Firefox keeps just not work after I restart my Mac on the latest OS.

I can't open Firefox at all, so I downloaded Firefox again, before I got your message. The Crash ID: bp-958359b9-d3d4-4cba-aa19-4dcbc0260313

That is the only one, not five crash ID's. I couldn't open Firefox to find an omni.ja file.

I can't import or access my bookmarks or passwords on the new Firefox I installed. Would you please be able to help with that?

Cannot connect to BBC Sounds web page (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds). Get the following error message: "The page isn’t redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

Have tried with and without a VPN, have cleared the cache, and shutdown/restarted Firefox, but no luck.

Connects without issue when using alternative browsers.

This is the most annoying behavior. For the most time I would like to use panel once or twice a day to ask some question to continue on conversation in some chat but whenever I close the AI chat-bot panel it resets its context and throws me onto the default page of the provider of my choosing. I have to click my way into the proper chat every time. Could a chat-bot panel keep its context or keep it session at the place where I left it?

Hello Again that white stripe at the top of the screen is back this PM: I refreshed firefox yesterday and it solved until now: have carried out the dirty dozen: updated FF yes, clear cache yes etc.

Can anyone help me in layman terms: I checked safari and it was OK there. would prefer FF : I use (have done so since its inception) DuckDuckGo as my home page .

Suddenly today when I tried to use facebook, already logged in, I got the message "Account Temporarily Unavailable. Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes." Yet facebook works fine on Safari and Chrome.

I cleared my settings, except cookies, turned off extensions and restarted firefox which did not help.

What else can I do?-Martha

I asked on 11 January 2026 Help for finding back my cookies. Got an answer by e-mail, but this disn't help to find my cookies and so I cannot manage these. Who can tell me please where I can find all my cookies? Thanks in advance. Regards Theo Koeppen

Since updating Firefox from a previous version, the browser no longer displays any Unicode emoji characters. Where an emoji would normally be rendered (👁), the browser instead displays empty space. Websites such as twitter and discord, which use their own artwork for emoji, are unaffected. This has negatively affected my browsing experience.

For illustrative purposes, I will add a series of emoji and include a screenshot of how they are displayed: (😀🙁😡💀). Other characters still display correctly: (β❖♞䷲⎈𐘢𓀺இ). My computer otherwise displays emoji correctly. The issue persists after disabling extensions, and has persisted between computer restarts.

I am using Firefox version 147.0.4 (aarch64) on a Macbook Air running macOS Sequoia 15.5.
