While using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 11, the search function within a ChatGPT conversation sometimes fails to detect text that is clearly present. When I search for a phrase that was previously discussed, I often receive a pop-up sound and a message stating “phrase not found,” even though I can manually locate the same phrase by scrolling through the conversation. This appears to be an issue with how in-page search is functioning in this context.

Since Thursday (new update rolled out Wednesday) I have lost all of my open tabs in one window.

Previously, when opening up Firefox, it would reopen my previous window with all tabs.

However now, even with the setting ticked in General (Startup --> Open Previous Windows & Tabs), it no longer does this. I have to go to Menu in the top right, History, recently closed windows, then guess at which window I should reopen.

Will this be fixed in the next update?

Recent update from MSFT (?) anyhow, suddently Firefox has crashed and can no longer access - can no longer uninstall and reinstall. Simply does not work & I am hoping to be able to correct this so all my various bookmarks, passwords, etc are not suddenly gone

I sell on vinted, which generates a PDF label to print. Some of the courier sites add a lot of nonsense text to their labels, which I cover up with a white box to save ink. These edited PDFs used to then print just the label without the nonsense text, but since a recent Firefox update they have started printing an empty page instead. Saving the edited PDF and then opening it again in Firefox does not work. The edited labels still print okay in Microsoft Edge.

it can be useful if u create a system of syncing which actually works, why my passwords dont sync when i log in and also i had to put my exact same passwords 6 times before the stupid system recognized it was correct, the fuck is happening i had changed devices before and this never happened i dont know why now but im very upset

My cursor doesn't show an 'image preview' anymore when I hover over a tab even though I still have it checked in my settings. It always did until a few days ago, but now it doesn't & I haven't changed anything.

I'm fed up with firefox. It seems almost every update deletes old passwords or creates new profile (which effectively deletes the passwords!)

I've tried looking at about.profiles which seems pointless - the active profile does not have my passwords and the inactive profile does not have them either.

If you can't secure passwords what's the point of your browser??

I'm moving to another browser which can guarantee the security of my passwords.

Meanwhile, I must visit every site I use to reset my passwords - what a chore!!!

Whenever I search for images on Google, it completely breaks Google search completely. For example, if I search for "bananas" then on the main Results page it has some results and then some sections with drop down menus for more specific questions like "What are the benefits of bananas?" etc. But if I click on the "Images" tab, then it only loads around 6-7 rows of images before failing to load any more, clicking on the images that it does load will not open a website or the typical preview panel, and going back to the main results page from that broken images tab results in none of the drop down buttons working any more.

If I sign out of my Google account completely or even sign into a different Google account, then everything works as normal. If I sign into the same Google account and attempt the same process in a different browser (Edge) then everything works as normal. I initially thought this must be an issue with my Google account since signing out/into a different account caused the issue to disappear, but the I only have this problem specifically on the specific combination of this one particular Google account and the Firefox browser.

I have tried clearing site data, disabling/deleting extensions, and even fully uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox so far and nothing has helped.

When I watch Downton Abbey on PBS from outside the U.S, using the Firefox VPN in a Private Window the Closed Captions of the PBS video are displayed TWICE: one above the timeline and the other above it.

This issue is specific to this particular show AND to the Firefox browser.

I am facing a recurring issue while browsing websites on Firefox. This happened even before the latest upgrade. Only it is worse after this last software upgrade.

After using the browser for 1–2 minutes, the browser gets stuck or becomes unresponsive. While scrolling through websites, the full page does not load properly, and parts of the webpage suddenly become blank. In many cases, the existing tab cannot even be refreshed. I have to close the program, wait a few minutes and reopen. Very frustrating. I have been using Firefox for many years and this is the most unstable I have ever seen it. When I start an email using the FF browser I'll type the address correctly but the text on the screen is gibberish. See attached photo. When I move the cursor to the subject line, the gibberish turns to plain text.

I can't copy it so I took a photo and attached it. I deleted Firefox and then reinstalled it. This did not fix the problem.

How do I fix this problem?

Das VPN lässt sich in der neusten Version optisch zwar aktivieren, scheint aber nicht zu funktionieren. Die 50GB bleiben ständig erhalten und reduzieren sich nicht , trotz durch Test´s mit erhöhtem Datenvolumen. Auch erreichen mich bei aktivierten VPN wieder vermehrt SPAM und Ähnliches.

As I run my hand up the lid of my lap top, I OFTEN hit the "X" on the browser and the PAGE CLOSES! I am so frustrated because all my tabs close and I see no way to get them all back open. WHY NOT? I know how to use "HISTORY" and under thT i USED TO BE ABLE TO TAP "RECOVER ALL TABS" i DON'T KNOW WHAT BROWSER that was... And if you had that option, I don't know what happened to it.

My Firefox program was recently re-installed by Dell. But it seems to be an older version and among other things I can't find my bookmark toolbar. So I'm hoping that updating Firefox will solver this problem.
