I use Firefox for many years, no problems. But recently I got fake websites with www.maccabi4u.co.il and PayPal. What is wrong? I downloaded Chrome and it does not happen.

See above on Subject = inability on my laptop with Firefox provider to watch certain dramas/films on 4 due to DRM. My problem is trying to follow the instructions hitherto given. I just want to be able to access those sites with DRM overlordship getting in the way. I am an old man who is simple-minded, that is, not 18 years and adept at whizzing around laptops.

I've using FF since the beginning. I use it for 99.999% of my browsing. Very recently the audio streaming from a particular site stopped working while all others seem to work. Other browsers appear to play this site just fine. If someone is aware of why this particular site had stopped working or better yet know of a setting I can change to resume function that would be greatly appreciated. The subject site is http://wplr.tunegenie.com/# then try to click on the play button (right arrow). I've searched and searched, tried and tried to no avail. The site owners only advise to use another browser but FF is my favorite and I am able to do literally everything else with it. Suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm a Chinese user, and all my firefox account in other devices( windows10, IOS) was login in page https://accounts.firefox.com.cn", but using firefox in ubuntu, it was redirect to https://accounts.firefox.com. Even i login with the same e-mail, the data can not be syn, and i have known the reason was there are two different server for Chinese.

But i need a way to syn data in Ubuntu, please tell me how to deal with that. 3Q !

Hello, on one of my computers I have my new tab set to have 10 rows of pinned links. I went to `about:config` and copied the `browser.newtabpage.pinned` string. I then pasted it into the string on a new device I'm setting up, but it doesn't do anything.

Is there any way to get this working? My new tab on the device I'm setting up has none of the pinned links, just sites I commonly visit

On my linux laptop I have a lot of saved userids in Firefox that do not have the password saved - which is exactly what I want for some sites (like bank sites and credit card sites) that I want it easy for me to log into but impossible for anybody else. On my Windows desktop now, however (apparently I inadvertently deleted my saved logins), I can't seem to figure out how to duplicate this functionality again, i.e., save the userids but not the passwords. Firefox seems to want to save both, or neither. How do I get my desktop to do exactly what my laptop is doing, save the userid but not the password? Thanks.

The logins that I put manually synchronize with the account between the devices, however, the passwords that i imported from chrome through the .csv file do not sync.

Every time I launch Firefox, it attempts to connect to a number of domains automatically; some of which, it strikes me, may not be entirely necessary and should, therefore, not be automatic.

For instance, I have automatic extension/plugin updates off by default, so why does FF try to connect to versioncheck.addons.mozilla.org and/or versioncheck-bg.addons.mozilla.org every time I launch it?

How many of the following do I actually need to give a pass to in my firewall and how many can I safely block?

I appreciate that a couple (e.g. githubusercontent) may be related to specific extensions/plugins, but the majority are from Mozilla/Firefox, so what what is each of them for, specifically?

I recently switched to linux and I cannot find a way to link profiles from my windows install. In an older version I could make a symbolic link in ~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles to the profiles in /run/media but now profiles are stored in ~/.mozilla/firefox and it doesn't understand my symbolic links, how can I do this?

I recently went to use my card to buy something off ebay, my card is probably in the depths of my room, so i went to check firefox, it shows the last 4 digits of my card, showing that it did save it, but i cannot access it, and i cannot use the number on the card? I would really like to retain it, can anyone enlighten me? Thanks

I've been using firefox as my main browser and I've created a account and using it all the time for syncing the settings, bookmarks, logins, extensions etc.

BUT due to some unwanted (really irritating) search suggestion were being shown to me by firefox, I had to uninstall firefox from my system.

• • Throughout the process, I'd kept syncing ON always!!

But when I installed firefox again and after loggedin, I'm syncing everything but this is restoring (syncing) very old data which doesn't have my latest bookmarks, extenstions & saved logins!!

How DO I get my all data???

I was using Ctrl+K on some websites to do things like site-specific search, task bars, and so forth, but recently Firefox started capturing it for focusing on the search/address bar (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly#w_search).

Is there a way to unbind `Ctrl+K` in Firefox?

I am looking for a way to prevent disabling an addon.

The addon is secondary, but for the sake of completeness: it's about the web blocker LeechBlock.

It was intended as an alternative to the web blocker ColdTurkey, but unlike ColdTurkey, which does not work for Linux systems, there is no password protection to prevent disabling and/or uninstalling the addon. Thus, it is quite easy to get distracted even though you don't really want to.

I've installed Debian 12 with Firefox 102.12.0esr (64-bit) from scratch instead of Debian 11. Just after it I noticed that all add-ons I used for a long time do not work anymore.

When I go to Menu > Add-ons and themes, I see all add-ons enabled. However, all of them do not work, and they even do not display their icons on the Firefox toolbar as they did before.

A couple of examples of add-ons that do not work: - Enhancer for YouTube - ImTranslator: Translator, Dictionary, TTS

I run Firefox via Firejail sandbox (like I did for years without any problems). All add-ons and settings came to my new system via Firefox sync. I tried to run Firefox directly (without Firejail) and nothing changed, add-ons still do not work. Also, I logged out of my Firefox sync account and reinstalled add-ons on Firefox running directly (without Firejail) and it did not help.

Appreciate your help - how can I enable add-ons in Firefox?
