Firefox was lagging everywhere: scrolling, switching folders in bookmarks, switching windows, switching tabs, opening settings, scrolling in settings...just everywhere. So I tried downgrading to v. 113. After downgrading via the ling in settings it still showed v. 114. I uninstalled firefox entirely and downloaded the loader for v 112. I installed it and it went thru whole install process to the point of asking to close and start Firefox. It didn't start. When I clicked on the icon it gave me a prompt that it didn't point to anything and asked if I wanted to delete it. I looked in program files folder but didn't find a folder for Firefox or Mozilla. I installed the developer edition and it worked but I don't want dark dev ed. Please help!

Decided to switch to firefox from brave. Am completely unable to run Firefox. Doesn't even show up in task manager. I have one split second of a window, then it vanishes. Tried safe mode, tried running as admin, nothing. Brave and edge work, and I even downloaded opera to see if it would mess that up too, but opera booted fine. Running Windows 10 22H2, OS build 19045.3324. Any help is appreciated.

HI! I've been trying to install Firefox on my new Acer Chromebook by following this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/run-firefox-chromeos. However, whenever i get to the last step, it says "no remote refs found similar to firefox". I have no idea what i'm doing at this point, any help?

The download is that I am always movies on the transfer to a good comedy and show us movies because of the news , e-mailed, browser Firefox Android.install and migrate etc

The message I received from you is for Windows. I have a MAC.

See picture below. If I try to open up more than one tab, I get multiple home pages.

Is there an adjustment I can make to stop this?

I'm trying to install Firefox on a Chromebook. I've done this successfully before. Using the instructions in the Mozilla page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/run-firefox-chromeos?utm_source=www.mozilla.org-firefox-browsers-chromebook&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=seo#w_installing-the-firefox-desktop-browser-with-flatpak

But the command in the terminal window sudo bash -c "$(curl -fsS https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mozilla/sumo-kb/main/run-firefox-chromeos/install-flatpak.sh)"

Is giving me the error message curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404

Any advice would be appreciated! This is a fresh ChromeOS environment since I just did a factory reset so everything should be clean, and with latest OS version.

I've installed a new version of Ubuntu Linux and - as recommended on this page's FAQs - backed up my firefox profile, than copied it into the profile folder on the new os. Now Firefox tells me "You've launched an older version of firefox" and forces me to create a new profile :( Also loading the old profile in "about:profiles" leads to the same result

How can i restore at least my passwords? (When i try to copy only 4.db and logins.json from the old to the new profile, i get the same result)

I can't find an "import old profile"-function anywhere...

Hi! I have latest version of Firefox installed on my PC. But sometimes I am programming for web. So I would like to have Firefox Developer Edition as well. But I don't want them both at the same time - one for my usual web surfing and another one for web programming using leading (or even bleeding) edge features.

How do I install and use them separately? I tried running Firefox Dev Edition installer, but it does not ask questions like where to install and which Firefox profile to use.

If I want to do a 'clean' install of MS Windows - Windows 11 Pro v 22H2 (Build 22621.1485) - where are FF's sttings stored & how do I restore them after the re-install?

I kept getting new version is available while I was up to date. This could be due to this:

When I had Firefox in its standard location in C drive, I also installed another copy on my computer's E drive. After a while I uninstalled the E drive version and kept the C drive one.

After that I kept getting a new version is available, but could not be downloaded. I follow the links and find out I do have the latest version. When there is a new version out, in Settings - General - Check for updates I always get the message Firefox is up to date.

I uninstalled Firefox completely, but kept my profile directory contents. After re-installation, I copied contents of my old profile into the new installation default profile.

However, I still get the 'New version is available, but couldn't be downloaded'. The problem is still there.

Somewhere in the files in my profile directory there is still a trace of the E drive installation and the update checking looks at that (I guess ? ) Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When I do the keybind (Control + P) or press the print icon in google apps (google docs, drawings, etc) it automatically downloads a pdf instead of opening the print menu. Chosen solution

Printing on any other site pops up with the printing options. Only on google apps does this happen, including gmail.

This problem is non-existent on Google Chrome and Edge. It does persist on Brave although. Haven't tested any other browsers.

As said in the title, both Firefox, Firefox DE and Chrome will open and crash/close instantly on my new Lenovo Legion PC with Windows 11 installed on it. Only Edge works, and so far I've tried a lot of solutions : -Restart PC -Uninstall, delete files and fresh install both programs -The MSCONFIG thing and unchecking start programs -Every update Windows update recommended me -Entire new windows install, without any linking with my previous pc (which had the same problem two times already, both fixed by returning to a previous version of windows)

I believed it was a ram problem with my previous pc because it was old, but this one is completely new and has the same problem, while there's nothing except my microsoft account that is common to both PCs

I'm completely lost, help me please (writing this on another PC)

Hello, I have downloaded Firefox installer but I couldn't install it. It's giving issue that you need to start over but when i start over again it gives the same issue. I have some pending work to do on my blog so I nee to install it ASAP. How can i fix it? Please help me. Thanks

This is my first post so bare with me.  :-)

We are deploying the 32-bit version of the Firefox Browser to 4 700 clients and the 64-bit version to only 8 clients; all clients on a 64-bit Windows 10 environment. We will migrate to Windows 11 22H2 this year. The manager for the 8 clients says he wants the 64-bits version just because it's...64-bits. No other reason.

I've read that the 64-bit version can not handle Java, Media Players like VLC and mayby some other plugins. Is that still so?

What is the main reason TODAY for using 64-bit Firefox Browser instead of 32-bit, except for the use of 4 GB+ RAM?
