Hello, I listed this is the "Other" section because it involves more than just installation of Firefox. I am using version 97.0.2 and will be installing the most current version within a day or so. I have NO issues with the current version, nor expect any with any future updates I install. With that being stated I will ask my question...

I have a CCTV setup at my home that have the feature of web remote viewing and control. I don't use any other browser other than Firefox...have uninstalled both IE11 and Edge, blocking Edge from being reinstalled. I can NOT use the CCTVs remote web feature because their software is out-dated and I suspect unsupported any longer. I have already downloaded and installed the Firefox required web plug-in but the version of Firefox is TOO NEW. The Software suggested that I install an older version of the 32-Bit Firefox, version 56 or 57 if my memory is correct...

I current Firefox is 64-Bit, installed on the C Drive. Can I install a second Firefox, 32-Bit on perhaps my D or E Drive without corrupting my 64-Bit install and profile? I understand that doing so, and using the older version then there would be a security issue fore prolonged browsing. But, when using this older version to access my CCTV...once done, I would no longer browse with that older version of Firefox. A temporary and quick solution. A 10 minute browsing in a once in a great while exception.

Your feedback and support would be greatly appreciated?

I have noticed recently that every week or so my Firefox browser will randomly change my homepage directory to the landing page / search for MSN, which is baffling, since it is obtrusive and anti-Mozilla to me.

If y'all are sneaking it in for that sweet ad revenue, I understand, but I would donate to avoid this issue.

Otherwise Firefox / Thunderbird are awesome, and I appreciate all that you do!

Cheers, Elliot

I can't login to the NY Times website using Firefox. I'm sure I'm using the correct password because I can log in using a different browser. I don't save passwords in Firefox. I enter them manually or use a password manager. As I said, I'm certain I'm using a valid password. I've cleared the cookies and all of the items under History on the Settings page. When I close Firefox, nothing is saved. When I contact NYT customer service, I was informed that they've had a lot of requests for assistance from Firefox users, and nothing was out of order with those users' NYT login; the problem was with Firefox.

Please advise.

Seemingly randomly, when opening a new tab, FF freezes up completely.

This has only started happening today. After starting my PC, I opened up FF. Upon opening Dicord in a tab (3rd tab, YouTube and Twitter were previous and still open) and clicking on it while loading, it froze. A white line appeared at the top, and FF overlapped, and thus hid, my task bar. Waiting (5 min) did nothing, so I clicked and the "... is not responding" dialogue popped up, and I closed it.

Upon starting again, it restored the tabs that were previously open. I could swap between use them normally. However, when I opened a link in a new tab, it froze again.

After another restart, not even the new empty tab would load, freezing again, and every try afterwards.

Starting in troubleshooting mode or reseting did nothing (though I may not have waited long enough, an 'Old Firefox Data' folder was created and filled, but no window opened). I ran the installer again, which resulted in me having to redo some Addon settings, but worked fine for a while (~1h maybe?), before freezing again. A PC restart fixed it again for a longer while, but then it happened again, this time while trying to write this. Additionally, there was a freeze while clicking into the Subject field here, after which the even the new tabs froze again.

Another PC restart seems to have allowed me to use FF again, while I tipped this on my phone.

Hardware acceleration is off, History deletes every time I close FF, Addons on or off don't seem to matter. CPU and RAM aren't even near fully used. Drivers are up to date, Windows as well. (Running a System File Check right now, as I have upgraded to Win10 only a few days ago, although I was able to use FF during those days without issue, and the PC has been shut down in between as well. The SFC said it found and repaired files, though it didnt say anything other than that, so that might just be a "We found no issues and fixed those." translation kinda thing.)

I really don't know what else to do.

I'm buying a new computer and I'm wondering is there a method/procedure that I can use to transfer the entire FF browser including settings, extensions, bookmarks, and passwords without having to reinstall all those items individually? I know I can save and import bookmarks but what about everything else? I look forward to anyone comments. Thanks
