Is there any hope for me and Fire Fox? I guess I should be thankful that FF works here at all anymore!

All my browser extensions were shut out with latest FF security update. “root certificate expires” GONE: You T Enhancer; Ghostery; Privacy Badger; Urban Ad Blocker; You Tube Nonstop.

My sad situation: OS X EL CAPITAN vers 10.11.6

FFOX ****ESR*** VERS 78.15

I cannot update my OS therefore I cannot update FF.

My meditation videos on YT are being interrupted by ADS!!!! {I guess I cough up $ for YT but it's killing me. Will FF pay for that?  ;-) }

ANY suggestions, besides obvious "new Mac", would be appreciated.

I have been using ⌥⌘\ (command + option + backslash) as an extension shortcut for 1 password (versions 6 and 7) for many years, but since I have updated the app to 1pass8; Firefox now does not allow the use of the backslash for the extension shortcut. When I attempt to change that shortcut, a small popup window says, “Choose a letter”.

I am still able to use the shortcut on another computer, but the app is a previous version: 1pass7. I spoke to 1pass tech department and they said its a Firefox limitation.

Is there any way I can get that extension to work for this app again?

up until your latest update that was added on april 1, 2025 everything worked normally and without any crashes. however, after the update, windvine crashes while trying to play netflix and can not find a way to resolve the issues. netflix is the only streaming player that there is a issue with that i can find. there must be an issue in the updating code that was written, because i have researched for all probable solutions and non have worked.

I am experiencing an issue with HEVC hardware decoding in Firefox on Windows 10.

System information:

OS: Windows 10 (latest updates installed) Browser: Firefox ESR 128.8 GPU: (your GPU model) GPU driver version: (your driver version) Problem: In about:support under the "Media" section, I see that HEVC (H.265) hardware decoding is not supported, while on Windows 11 with the same hardware, it works correctly.

What I have tried:

Installed HEVC Video Extensions from the official Microsoft website. Enabled hardware decoding in about:config: media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled → true media.wmf.hevc.enabled → true Updated GPU drivers to the latest version. Checked HEVC support via FFmpeg – decoders are available. Expected result: Firefox should use HEVC hardware decoding on Windows 10, just like it does on Windows 11.

Actual result: HEVC is only supported in software mode, and hardware decoding is not working.

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

Hallo. ich kann den Mailcheck nicht mehr nutzen. Immer wenn ich ihn instalieren möchte erscheint, kann nicht Installiert werden wahrscheinlich defekt. Was sol ich machen?

Today I went to add an extension to the Extension Management policy and noticed that there is now another policy - Extension Management (JSON on one line). If I disable it, it disables the main policy. If I try and edit this policy it deletes my json file with all the extension in it on the main policy. It has disabled my ability to manage extensions and now all of our Firefox users have wide open access to download any extension. Does anyone know why this policy is there? It contains one character when you edit it. Just doesn't seem like something Firefox would include in their policies. I updated ours a few months ago. If I download new policies and get those imported in it will not delete this new policy correct? I need this policy gone but not sure how to achieve this. Thanks for any help. (See attached images)

I am getting the widewinecdm plug in error has crashed message when I try to watch Netflix, Prime video, or Peacock on line any ideas?

Proplem seems to have begun with recent Firefox update, but not sure.

Neither of the two addons that bring up my Google calendar work anymore. They each bring up some goofy Google "workplace". It says I can log into my calendar, but when I try, it says it's sending me an authorization request, even though the "don't ask again" button is checked. I never get an request on my phone, just a "ding" announcement. Arrrggghhh...

Depuis 72h Video DownloadHelper ne fonctionne plus du tout sur mon PC. Il ne détecte plus aucune vidéo quelque soit le site, et même si la vidéo est en cours de lecture. Je suis pourtant titulaire d'une licence est je n'ai eu aucun souci avec auparavant.

J'ai tenté de le désinstaller et de de réinstaller sans succès
