Hello everyone, I tried to open Firefox but it just didn't open. Nothing happens when I click on my desktop icon. Tried as administrator, nothing. Tried refreshing, nothing. Reinstalling, nothing. The closest I got was after reinstalling but I still can't open any website or setting inside of the browser. Tried flushing the dns and also nothing. Pretty much out of ideas so if anyone has some advice it would be great, I'm running a HP laptop with Windows 10. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

After most recent Windows 11 and Firefox updates, Firefox will not open on my PC. I thought I had managed to Refresh it today Troubleshooting Mode - got a "Success" message - but that message was overlaid with a box that wanted me to agree to terms and conditions, etc. and when I clicked the Continue button, nothing happened. So I had to close what little of Firefox was on my screen; got the Not Responding message, then the Close or Wait message (waiting is useless), so I hit Close and the error was again reported to Windows (big whoop). Should I uninstall Firefox and start over???? I have no clue how to save all my bookmarks and associated passwords.

Sadly for me it is absolutely not the case It has been a few days since I can't use Firefox at all. When I try to open it, it tells that there is a "side by side error" and that I should use sxstrace.exe. I did that and it tells me that It can't find mozglue, mozglue.MANIFEST, mozglue.DLL. I use Mozilla in French (it is my mother tongue), and it can't find them in French, English or in Neutral :

Thinking it was also linked to the Redistribuables Microsoft Visual C++, I just downloaded all of them again.

My version of Mozilla is 152.0.6.595 and I am on Windows 10.

Please I really need your help and don't want to lose any of my tabs, bookmarks and passwords as I was making very important research for my PHD studies.

Best topic is covered by all of the options, unfortunately! If I have done anything incorrectly it was done thru lack of tech savvy for which I apologize for. I have to go take care of the horses now, thank you for any help you may have.

I get the error msg. "Firefox is already running. Would You like to exit Firefox? Yes or No"

I enter Yes and Firefox starts normally. This usually happens after a Firefox update or sometimes when I exit Firefox normally. I use Windows 10 if that makes a difference.

Recent update from MSFT (?) anyhow, suddently Firefox has crashed and can no longer access - can no longer uninstall and reinstall. Simply does not work & I am hoping to be able to correct this so all my various bookmarks, passwords, etc are not suddenly gone

Firefox will not update when I click the restart button. Firefox restarts but does not update. Closing Firefox manually (X) several times did not help. I had to restart my laptop and then Firefox updated. This started happening the update before 136.0.3, which is my current version. I don't want to keep restarting my laptop every time there is a Firefox update, which seems to be happening more frequently.

I have updated FF on four PCs to 136.0.3. On just one PC, FF launches to a small window which is completely non-functional. None of the visible controls do anything. I can't move the window but I can resize it but everything is greyed out except the search bar. I can type in the search bar but get no search.

I have read a number of similar posts, but these fixes do not work: I cannot toggle the full screen using F12, I cannot change the launch behavior by setting 'maximize' in the shortcut properties, Deleting xulstore.json (repeatedly) does not fix (I have no localstore.rdf), I have no access to any of the normal FF controls that would let me refresh or troubleshoot.

I could always reinstall, but thought I would ask first.

Tnx, Larry Yesterday I got a full page notice that told me my access to Firefox will be shut down because my Defender detected that I had stepped in some SHXT while visiting something in Firefox. They gave me a phone number of Microsoft something to call to fix it. I did not call because it seemed like malware, I guess it wasn't because soon after Firefox would not load. I will get this when I try: Says: cannot find server v3lpea6ndyxwl4.azureedge.net , I have run Malwarebytes and Defender and rebooted. Any ideas?
