I went away and when I returned to my computer Firefox was closed. I opened it and it was like a clean install on a new computer, nothing there except the defaults. The version is 129.0. I do not remember what the version was before this occurred. Was it an automatic update from Microsoft Store? Are my bookmarks and extensions recoverable?

I updated to version 129.0 and Hulu stopped streaming and news video imbedded in news articles will no longer load. I have removed and reinstalled Firefox and cleared all cache. It is affecting my desktop and laptop. Both operating systems are windows 10 64 bit. I made sure the Firefox download was 64 bit. The problem is not the websites as they will load and attempt to load content but it behaves as if it is being blocked. It is not my antivirus because I have turned is off and there is no difference.

I'm running into an issue where FF just closes when internet connection is lost. It does not create a crash report. I use a VPN for work but this issue occurs with VPN on or off. I still get this issue in safe mode. Other browsers like Edge do not do this. Disconnecting from different networks still causes this. I can get this on the stable download of FF and the Nightly. I've done a fresh install where I deleted all FF folders in the appdata and Program Files directories. The crash can doesn't happen at a specific time, just while FF is running. I've already watched this issue with a resource monitor ope and there aren't any spike or anything of note during these times. I can reproduce this easily on my end. Can anyone help diagnose the issue?

My steps: 1. Open FF 2. Open the windows 10 network tab 3. Disconnect from current WiFi 4. wait ~10 seconds 5. FF will close (crash?) without any interaction needed

I need to uninsntall my present version of firefox and reinstall an upgraded version . i have a desktop frontier has ended their e-mail and therefore I no longer have the e-mail that everyone knows me by I have no e-mail except on my phone. My reachaable E-Mail is marcumgrover@gmail.com

When I receive an email that has a link FIrefox opens without any of my settings. This also happens with Firefox pop-ups, which indicate I don't hae certain products, such as Web Advisor, even though I do.

I guess he first question is why a new iteration of Firefox is opened when I already have it running.

Last week I deleted my browsing history, I had don't so since 2023, sadly I just found out that I need to restore a number of those close pages, I found the same topic on the site however it's from 2020 :

1. Click "Start" > "Search" > "Tools" > "Folder Options." 2. Click "View" > select "Show hidden files and folders" > uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files". 3. Click search in "All Files and Folders" in the C Drive > type index.dat in search bar > click "Search". 4. Download and install index.dat file reader on your PC if you don't have one. 5. Open index.dat file within the reader > Click on the Firefox browsing history you want to restore > Click "Restore". Then you can open your Firefox browser to check all your restored history now.

I followed the above steps until nr 5, it does not show me any data on firefox

This isn't a question, its a complaint.

The performance of Firefox with upload speed is TERRIBLE! I have multiple computers, all with Windows OS's and Firefox installed as the main browser. Each of them report back lower than actual upload speed.

Other browsers like Edge, chrome, and a CLI tool on linux all report my actual download/upload speeds.

I have tried the various about:config and profile changes as a work around that I found here and alsewhere, none of them work.

Somebody better answer me as I am about to switch my default browser from Firefox to something else. I have already asked this question but never received any response. For a long time now I keep running across sites that do not work on Firefox. It can be a streaming site such as Paramount+ or it could be my phone service site Ting. In all of the cases and there have been quite a few I am always able to find another browser the sites will work on. 9 times out of 10 they will work on Chrome but I have found at least one that does not work there but will work on Edge. So, right now Edge is the prime candidate to switch to. I do not want to quit as it would be a pain in the ass as I have been a loyal user for at least 15 years and have stuck with you as I believe in what you are doing and represent but it is becoming to much of a pain to continue using you because I like the convenience of using only 1 browser 99% of the time.
