I had two problems with lockwise.

- First, the time spent accessing a password. The application takes about 5sec to open and unlock, there is a 2sec clearance to access the passwords before a synchronization message hogs the application for 5min.

-Then, and this is recent, since I just tested it today: The application crashes at startup. Impossible to open it.

Here are the specs: Telephone: One plus One OS: Android 9 Potato Open Sauce Project

On a newly setup Pixel 4 I installed Lockwise and connected it successfully to my Firefox account using my password, then my authenticator app (I had to switch from Lockwise to the authenticator then back to Lockwise) since I use 2FA. Then it gets stuck at a stage where it synchronizes but never ends.

I tried disconnecting / reconnecting. Nothing changes. And by the way, my Firefox for Android has an issue with Sync has well (https://support.mozilla.org/fr/questions/1272644) I don't know if it's related.

I can't make a screenshot, it's forbidden but basically I've got no logins in it, and there is this bar at the bottom that says it's syncing.

I have the Play Store version installed released on October 31st.

I have many passwords stored in my local Firefox profile and it's connected to Firefox account synchronization. Unfortunately I've lost my password for the Firefox account long time ago. Now I want to use Firefox Lockwise on my iPhone with all my passwords from desktop so I need to reset the account password. The warning tells that this action will remove all my stored passwords but it doesn't tell what will happen with my locally stored passwords in Firefox profile (btw I also use master password to encrypt them). So what should I do to reset Firefox lockwise account password but keep all my desktop-stored passwords and sync them back to the lockwise account after reset?

I've installed Lockwise on my Fairphone 2 (Android 7.1.2, Firefox 68.6), and on my Macbook Pro (OSX 10.11.6, Firefox 74). Firefox is set to sync Logins and Passwords on both devices, and I've force-synced on both. Lockwise on my MacBook shows all my saved logins, but the Lockwise app on my phone says "No logins found".

Am I missing something?

Whether it's lockwise or something else I don't know. I was trying to see a login and pw for a site. It wouldn't let me see it without my mozilla/FF pw. When I tried to use that it wouldn't open, wrong pw or login. Don't know which as I thought I was doing it correctly. So I changed my pw for Mozilla/FF and tried again. Still wouldn't open up the logins for other sites. 1. Is this a common problem? 2. I do not want to have to do this when I am on my home base computer. Do I have to use another pw to see my saved pw's. How can that be done? 3. After changing my FF pw, why doesn't that work? All in all a terrible waste of time that has made me second guess FF.

Firefox 77.0.1, Win 10 Home (latest forced update)

I see many of my passwords are stored in Lockwise. However, one site I frequently go to (pianote.com) and which automatically logs in, is not stored in Lockwise. I searched both alphabetically and "last used" and could not find it. I'm guessing it must be stored in Firefox's old password storage, but I can not locate it. Searched all through the menu options (including "logins and passwords" and "options"), and everything redirects me to Lockwise. The password must be stored somewhere. It's really bugging me that I can't find it.

Background:

I previously used Lastpass. I exported the passwords to CSV and imported to Firefox. Then uninstalled LastPass. Most of these seem to have made it to Lockwise.

I've also disabled 'sync' and 'disconnected' this machine from my phone. Firefox still 'knows' the pianote.com username and password.

I am currently installing new security software on my laptop, and filling in sensitive information to do so. While setting up security email and password for the software product, I see that there are two logins, one of which I don't recognise, from mcafee home website, with a password that is not mine. Does this mean that someone has access to my account, or is this from my mcafee home page? Thanks for advice.

I have 2 smartphones and 1 computer connected / synced to ONE Firefox profile. After 5 weeks not using my computer today this happened.

I booted (as always) opened Firefox (updated to the newest version 77.0.1 (64 bit) Profile prompts me to login (? strange, but ok) No "visible" change (bookmarks aso still there)

BUT all saved passwords are gone on my web browser. THOUGH passwords are still saved on my 2 mobile devices

      • checked online for solutions but in vain ***

logins.json or other files not corrupted (dated -today- (when I logged in) key3.db / key4.db not corrupted (dated 2018 - same folder)

Profile reads hnuwrbm3.default

Before I un-/re-install Firefox, I was wondering if there is another fix, as the passwords are safe and sound on my 2 mobile devices (un/re connected and synced twice already just in case)

Thanks (I am using Avira - which has never been a problem)

Again, before, everything was fine - 5 weeks not using computer - now I got this problem. I have not done anything except opening firefox and being prompted to login again (which usually does not happen)

Does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to prepare accounts/logins for the future eventuality of someone's passing? My mom is not going to live forever and, as I'm preparing other things for her eventual passing, it seems like it'll be a nightmare closing all of her online accounts without a central access point. My mom is currently healthy and alert but, typical of older generations, not as comfortable with technology. I suppose I could set up Lockwise with her so that I have access but since I'm probably not going to be checking her accounts regularly, it seems like a security risk for her. Is that the best way or there a another way to do this? (I'm a user of Lockwise.)

Thank you, -Ushio

it is said here that synced data is encrypted to save privacy and protect against identity theft . https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-lockwise-and-privacy

but if the synced data is encrypted by device A and sent to mozilla server for saving, how does device B able to decrypted the data received from mozilla after signing in ? this can be possible only if the encryption happens at mozilla server side and not the device itself .

doesn't this means mozilla server as well able to decrypt the data and read it ? so you can read all my passwords i synced through you ?
