Not sure if this is something with Firefox 30, but this problem seems new.

Actually, first when I was closing the browser with multiple tabs open, it was warning me with the little popup, but it wasn't the "Do you want Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts?" It was just the warning about closing that says "You are about to x tabs. Are you sure you want to continues?"

So, that was problem #1 recently. I want the option to save and quit. But just in the last few days, it seems, it's not even showing that close warning now. With multiple tabs open, it just closes down the browser. Upon opening Firefox again, the tabs were restored, so at least that's one good thing, albeit bizarre.

I'm wondering how to make it go back to asking to "Save and Quit" or "Quit" or "Cancel" like it used to.

To answer some potential inquiries, here's some information that you may be wondering, which I've already double-checked: - the appropriate about:config settings are all set to true already, such as browser.tabs.warnOnClose and browser.showQuitWarning - in Tools > Options, "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is checked, and "Show my windows and tabs from last time" is selected for when Firefox starts. Nothing has changed! - running in safe mode doesn't solve the issue; Firefox still just closes if I exit or hit the red X. - "Always use private browsing mode" is not checked. - I hadn't run a program like CCleaner in between sessions

I haven't changed anything, but this problem is happening! I hope someone can help me fix this and get back to the way it was, where accidentally closing Firefox could be avoided and restoring the previous session was possible.

The original issue with Java has been fixed yet FF continues to state the same warning which must be confusing at least and a road block for others at worst? There's a thread https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=636633 that 'discusses' this and the person Anthony Hughes, QA Mentor (:ashughes) has said that the issue should be posted here (don't know why he wouldn't do that himself, seems very unhelpful as a 'Mentor').

So, I'm posting a question, which is really a request that the Devs remove this warning. It has nothing to do with my OS and also doesn't need me to Allow you to install something to gather information, just install Java and check the Plugins...

Pretty much what the title says. I try to load Youtube, and when the initial page loads, it automatically tries to sign me in. I'm not sure why, but it can't sign me in, and gets stuck in a loop. I don't have the patience to see if it eventually fixes itself, especially when I can sign in just fine in other browsers. The same thing happens whenever I try to sign in to my Google account, since Youtube is linked to Google.

Every day I have this updater.exe wanting to update all different things 2 or 3 times a day. It is a pain to keep having to closing this. Do I have to stop using Firefox to get rid of it? Thanks

I am using Firefox 30.0 which I installed to replace IE8. I log in to my health insurance site. When I try to go to the Provider Directory Search (PDS), nothing happens. I thought the PDS might be a pop-up so I tried both making the web page a pop-up exception and then also just turning the pop up blocker off completely. Neither helped.

I then tried to access the same PDS page via IE8 and IE8 displayed a “Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate” error page. Also, IE8 displayed a bar with options that allowed me to display blocked content regardless of the status of the security certificate. The PDS page then displayed.

I went back to FF30 and tried again. The PDS page did not display and no error message nor options bar was displayed. Next, I tried finding an option related to this problem. Options/Security had nothing for Security Certificates. Options/Advanced/Security seemed to deal with security certificates my copy of FF30 would provide to web sites and not the web sites certificates provided to me. I tried clicking on the “lock” icon of the page from which I should be transferred to the PDS page. The security certificate information displays but I could not see any option that would help me and this is the security certificate from the previous page anyway and not the PDS page that is being blocked.

If I could just get a Security Certificate error to display, I was hoping I would then be given the option of displaying the blocked content anyway. Without even an FF30 error condition being displayed (as does IE8), I am unable to proceed.

Ideas about what to try would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Claude

Situation before: -have set Shockwave Flash to 'ask to activate'. -worked well, like expected: on a page with Flash, FF pops up a button to allow Flash or to continue blocking it

Then: - accidentally clicked 'continue to block this site' instead of 'allow Flash'

Situation now: -FF does not pop up the button anymore to activate Flash on that site; Flash content is not shown -i can 1) go to Options-->Add-ons-->set Shockwave Flash to 'always activate' and then the Flash content works on that page. This is unwanted because it does so too on all other pages. Or, 2) i can set it to 'never activate' which is also unwanted. Or, 3) i can set it to what is must be, 'ask to activate'. However FF does still not ask me what to do for that particular site and it keeps blocking Flash content even with the setting 'ask to activate'.

Have tried: -to set it to 'always activate', restart FF, set it to 'ask to activate' -->no changes -have deleted "pluginreg.dat" after closing FF in combination with the above as well as without it: no effect -have opened "about:permissions" but there are no options for the Flash plugin, not global and neither per site

To see Flash content on that particular page i must have the plugin to 'always activate' which i do no want.

How can i get FF to pop up that message with permission buttons again?

I have searched high and low for how to get rid of this AVG Secure Search every time I click on a new tab, I have no arrow or search engine arrows to find Manage Search Engines, everything I try does NOT work. HELP I am ready to UNINSTALL my FIREFOX. Guess I am STILL not talking to a person just posting on another message board. Is there NO ONE who will help me with this?

No matter what you do with Firefox in clearing the browsing history by going to History -> Clear Recent History and deleting everything or resetting FF by going to Troubleshooting information, Firefox doesn't delete the browsing history. The website you have browsed still appear in the address bar.

Several people already have complained about this issue (see thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/939028) and the answer from the Firefox staff is that there is got to be a malware. This is not true, I've seen versions of Firefox in clean computers both Windows and Mac with Firefox doing the same thing, or more like not doing what it's supposed to do: clean the browsing history.

How unsafe is that. Where is your privacy? Firefox has to find a way to fix this glitch. Something tells me they're doing it on purpose because it hasn't been fixed after the complains.

My FF just updated itself today. I only have my address bar and have gotten my Roboform toolbar back. I can open them from the bookmark icon but I want to add the toolbar that lets me open my bookmarks from there and I can't even find the dropdown that lets me see what toolbars are active. Whew this 30.0 has caused me headaches today! Thanks in advance.

I have version 30.0 for linux mint 1.0, and I do not find if this the latest one.

I have message into the header of mozzilla support and in the header of gmail stating that my firefox is out of date. In my menu preference/advanced/update, it not the same as in the online help. No version/update buttons. I should not have to update manually my firefox. In the menu ?/about, I have no update button.

How to know if 30.0 for linux mint 1.0 is the good and latest one?

Okay, so this problem started abruptly two days ago. I suspect my plugin is not working because Flash videos (Youtube and other streaming sites) are working on IE. I've tried reinstalling Firefox,disable and re-enable flash plugin, edited for protectedmode=0 and also disabled hardware acceleration. It just won't start working! I feel that deleting and reinstalling the plugin might help but there seems to be no option for that. Can you please guide me?

On the Add-ons Manager page/Plugins entry for Shockwave Flash appears the line "Shockwave Flash is known to be vulnerable and should be updated." This is followed by a link reading "Update Now". When I click this link, Firefox thinks for a while and then brings up a page that says (it's quite long, so this is a summary) Shockwave Flash versions have been disabled, so this page appears when you click on any of its links.

Since "Update Now" doesn't work, please send me an executable file that will fix this. Firefox says it is version 30.0.

For the past few days, each time I open Firefox on my home computer, a popup message is briefly displayed: "Your browser's default search engine is not set to Yahoo! Search. Would you like to set it now? (Yes/No)". After perhaps 15 seconds at most, the popup disappears and my home page appears as normal. I have the Yahoo! Toolbar installed, and Yahoo! Search is the search engine there; however, the search box on the address bar (which allows me to select from several search engines) is normally set to Google. The search engine in the address bar hasn't actually been changed to Yahoo! Search without my consent yet -- I'm just annoyed at getting nagged to change search engines every time I open Firefox. How do I get the "nag" messages to shut up & leave me alone? I would also note that this is only happening on my home computer (which runs Windows 7), not on my work computer (which runs Windows XP, and which I also normally use Firefox as my browser on, with the same Yahoo! Toolbar + Google search in the address bar setup). I have run Threat Scans with Malwarebytes (paid version) and a Quick Scan with Avast! (free version), and neither has eliminated this "nag" message from Yahoo! Search.

When I watch video in Firefox it stutters badly. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration in Adobe Flash Player. I have also tried uninstalling Firefox and re-installing a clean copy but I still have this issue.

Firstly, it is no longer available as a plugin from Mozilla. Now they have some spinoff called HTTP Nowhere. So, I try downloading from the EFF.org website and get the connection failure notice. My FF is up to date - 30. HTTPS Everywhere still works with TOR. So what is going on ?
