Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This is the error I get.

Since Thunderbird was updated, I stopped receiving messages on the program and cannot save sent messages to "sent messages" folder. I have tried rebooting the computer and restarting Thunderbird. Can only get email by going to the gmail.com website. Much prefer to use T-bird. Help me, please.

Hi, Firefox will not open on my PC as it thinks that it's already running. First off I tried a refesh but that didn't work as the same issue occured. I have uninstalled it and re-installed again but the same issue happens. A lot of the help pages I have looked at ask you to do things via the Firefox menu but as I can't even open a browser I'm unable to make cahnges.

Using IMAP to download emails from Google Gmail:

Server settings: Server Name: imap.gmail.com Port: 993 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: OAuth2

Confirmed IMAP enable on Gmail and permission for Thunderbird to a access the Gmail account.

Details:

Have been using Thunderbird with Gmail for years with no problem. Just today it stopped downloading emails. Been trying several solutions on Mozilla support but no luck. Tried disabling firewall, also no change.

So yesterday I experienced an error in Firfox browser. out of nowhere Some protocol error. This was resolved after restarting the browser. But also since yesterday my Thunderbird does not fetch new emails. Not sure if this is related though. No errors, just nothing.

Facts version 78.5.0 on Windows 10: - I have setup 7 accounts with different ISP's - I have tried disabling add-ons - I have tried disabling firewall and network security - Sending mails does work - Receiving mails on another cumputer works

Basicly I am clueless as to what to do to fix the problem... Please help. Many thanks.

I'd be very grateful for any help you can give me with the following issues.

I installed Thunderbird version 78.5.0 on 13 November. As of yesterday, I have the following problems:

1. A continuously spinning circle appears in my inbox as though it's hanging. This does not happen in any of the other folders (eg Sent Mail, All Mail). 2. Incoming emails are not appearing in my inbox. I can get them in GMail. 2. When I send an email I get the following error message: "Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent Mail) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent Mail-xxx." Sent emails do reach the addressees.

Other information which may be relevant: 1. I run Windows 10 Home 64-bit version 1909 2. My security software is ESET Internet Security version 14.0.22.0

Hi there - I upgraded today to 78.4 (from 68) in order to allow multi factor authentication (and stay compatible w/ my work Office365 account). Everything seems to have gone fine except that when I open my address book, the only address books included are my de_junk_list and my LDAP. My personal Address Book (decades of addresses) is empty. I'd like to restore those missing addresses to my address book, but am unsure how to do so. Thank you for any advice!

I opened Thunderbird this morning and my Gmail email is not downloading. Also, it seems like I am able to send email messages but it gives me an error saying it can't save a copy to Sent folder due to network or file access errors.

The last time I was using my email was on Friday, 11/27 and everything worked as normal. Any help getting my Thunderbird working with Gmail again would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

after the latest update of mozilla firefox a lot of symbol (how ', <, > and many others) on the titles have a problem with html5 translation how you can see on attached pictures

this happens only after the last update and only on this browser (chrome, internet explorer and microsoft edge do not give problems)

we love firefox but if the problem it will not be resolved we will be forced to stop using it

I searched for the problem in help for Thunderbird and found a solution : in the pop email server setup I changed the security of the connection to None (it was SSL/TLS). And it works. My question is : do I now have a security problem ? Thanks.

Hello, I've been trying to link my proton mail bridge with my Thunderbird desktop platform and after I manually configure all the settings (as shown in the tutorial) it says "Unable to log in at the server, probably wrong configuration, username or password."

I'm following the directions exactly as they appear on the standard tutorial, does anyone have some advice on how to fix this?

78 hangs fetching Pop3 email

Just upgraded to ver 78 (78.4.0) on two systems. Each uses pop3 to collect mail from a gmail account and from a private server account -- different users on the two syste… (pročitajte više)

Just upgraded to ver 78 (78.4.0) on two systems. Each uses pop3 to collect mail from a gmail account and from a private server account -- different users on the two systems, but otherwise same setup. Same Account settings except for user names on the various accounts.

One system works perfectly. The other hangs when trying to collect mail, with the statusbar message "xxxx.gmail.com Connected to pop.gmail.com..." No error messages, no green status bar.

Clicking Get Messages refreshes same statusbar message instantly.

Similar message when trying to fetch from the private server.

Closed and re-opened T-bird with same result. Re-booted system and open T-bird with same result.

Any suggestions?

How can I get my email and email ADDRESSES to function? I set up one address@domainname.com and TRY to set up another address2@domainname.com but I get the error message: "Incoming server already exists." and therefore it won't set up or function! I have tried all the settings I know to try! It just wants ONE address per domain name but that is not right or practical when you NEED several addresses and have used them for your business!

Two days ago, before I accepted the "upgrade" it was working fine! What do I do??? I need the OLD emails and the NEW!

I've spent HOURS on this - HELP HELP HELP!!!

Even my server company says it should work.

Hi to all, All of a sudden I'm having trouble sending ANY emails at all from Thunderbird. It keeps asking me to attach a file when I hit the "Send Button" (see "Uploaded Images"). Even when I attach a file it still won't send (same error message). Same problems when saving the email as a Draft. (see "Uploaded images").

I updated to Thunderbird 78.5.0 (32-bit) installed on 27th November 2020 This problem has just started to manifest itself this morning.

Please see below and "Uploaded images" for the error messages.

Any help would be great.
