Hi all.

My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..

I really like what Mozilla tries to do, and atm I'm working on becoming a Firefox user. I'm trying to use services from the big five as little as possible. Especially Meta and Google, but since I'm trying to use Apple services less as well, I'm trying to move from Safari to Firefox. However, the mobile experience has really let me down.

I had been trying the Orion browser for a while, but since it felt a bit unfinished (it's in beta after all), I thought maybe a major browser like Firefox would give me a more polished experience. And while the desktop (MacOS) app is OK, the iPhone and iPad experience is very poor.

Is there anything I can do to improve it?

My main problem is around tabs, and that I can't seem to be able to change the fact that almost every click opens the page in a new tab - BUT NOT ALWAYS. It's really inconsistent. This is also made worse by the fact that Firefox is late to the party when it comes to easy, swipeable, tab switching. On iPad it's made worse by the fact that it doesn't really support trackpads. If you scroll up and down with a trackpad, the menu bar on the top (and all the tabs) are hidden, even if you scroll up again! Are there any options I'm missing?

Can anyone help me make the experience better? Any (at least) semi-happy iOS/iPadOS users out there? This is really poor from Firefox, IMO. And this isn't actually Apple's fault, as this has nothing to do with the restrictions they put browsers on their platforms.

My sign on for my webmail has not worked for the past couple of months. I have changed my password and this does not help. I have contacted Centurylink and tried everything they suggested and it still does not work. Have you changed something with the browser that it does not function anymore with my email? My email works using Microsoft Edge browser. It just sits on the sign in page and gives me no reason it does not work. I have cleared my cache and it does not help.

Every birthday I reset my pc too have a nice fresh start. well today I reset my pc and I went to login in and the password is wrong I don't know why it is but it is. I did sign in through google and that worked but it wont let me get back all my stuff without the password (even though im signed in through google?) please help

On Wednesday, 12/6, I got a new work computer. FYI--both old and new computers are Dell laptops using Windows.

So on Tuesday 12/5, I had synched everything--Bookmarks, History, Open tabs, everything. I checked to make sure everything had synched because I knew I didn't want to lose my info.

After I had done that, I also signed out and deleted the history from that old device because it said that wouldn't affect the synched information.

On the new device, I haven't been able to access everything from that sync. I can see that most of my Bookmarks are there but the Open Tabs are nowhere to be found.

In "Connected Service", I see my old device listed but it says the last sync from that device was 4 months ago (that is definitely not the case).

When I look under "re-open all tabs" in Settings it only shows what I've opened on this new device (mostly Help topics trying to figure this out!)

Is there anyway to get back to the most recent sync? Especially but not only the Open Tabs?

I will be trading in my phone and I wanted to continue to access the sync history. How do I get a copy of my history to transfer to my new phone? I will no longer have access to the info once my trade-in is disconnected from my account. Thanks

For some reason my Firefox on my Mac and Windows computer won't sync even though I am using the same account. I would like my Mac to look the same as my Windows computer. I have tried logging in and logging out on both, all the basic fixes but nothing has helped.

after the I logged to my firefox account and all the data store was lost

does it get sync any where? it was 10 years of data.

I am having trouble sending tabs from my phone to my PC. My device is connected to my computer, and I can send tabs from my PC to my phone successfully, but not the other way around. I have no idea what could even be the issue, and I have only seen people asking about sending tabs from PC to Mobile, not the other way around. Is there something I am missing? None of the Firefox troubleshoot pages have helped.

There is no sign in button next to sync and save on my Ipad in the menu or under settings, I have spent over an hour on trying to sync my bookmarks with no response from mozilla. Support is very lacking.

Have installed Firefox on Windown 11 PC , Android mobile and Android tablet. Bookmarks seem to sync across devices but i like the speed dial feature as used on Vivaldi. This only appears to work on desktop as an add on but doesnt sync to the Android devices. I then discovered Collections on my Android phone which seemed ideal. Set it up and then found it didnt sync to any of the other devices. Can this be done. If not going back to Vivaldi. Very dissapointed as it seems to be a really fast browser.

I used Firefox Sync when I bought my new computer and it worked perfectly. This time, I had to reset my computer and forgot my password. Using my account associated email, I reset my password and my information was gone.

Dear community, I have used firefox for years now and I had it synced with my email adressed. Today I wanted to login with a second profile (from my work) (I did this via about:profiles, adding a new profile) and when I logged back into my private email I had to change the password since I forgot. Suddenly ALL my user data was deleted, my passwords, my bookmarks, my history. It even shows in my profile that I just opend the account with that email adress now, today, even though I had my account for years. ALL my data is lost. PLEASE help! I am desperate. Thank you sooo much <3

i had to rebuild my laptop computer and set up firefox on it, set up/turned on sync and the browser does NOT match the broswer srttings on the desktop where the sync comes from. bookmarked weblink icons only show up when a new tab is opened and vanish once a website is opened, icons for bookmarked weblinks on the bookmarks bar are generic wireframe globe-like-icons only, the custom firefox colour setup i struggled to create over the course of several weeks does not appear at all, nor does the dark theme. how then do i get this to -really- syc???

I changed my PC. Then i installed Firefox my new PC and login Firefox account. But my old PC's Firefox account all data will de deleted history passwords etc. It was looks like a new account. How can i restore my old data. My old PC was already formatted.
