When typing into a form, (ie a zipcode) you will begin typing amd the character you typed will highlight/select it self. Your next keystroke erases and the new character appears. For example. typing in the zip code 12345, would reult in the 5 showing up in the box.

Firefox hangs when downloading large files. Take 100% CPU and I must kill it. Not possible to surf when it happens.

I updated Firefox from 3.5 to 3.6 and was then asked to update the flash player. I downloaded the tar archive and copied libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/browser-plugins, after backing up the file that was already there. Firefox tells me it's 10.0 R42, which is what I had before the update.

I have just had to reformat and reinstall linux on my main comp, and I can't recall the weave/sync secret passphrase however I still have fennec on a nokia n900 how do I find wwhere fennec has stored the passphrase?

Every time I right click, click on file/edit/(etc), to go a page that opens a message box, click the URL box to see the previous entries I've put in, and other similar things, firefox outright freezes. I need to force quit the application.

I'm currently running Mozilla Firefox 3.6.7 under RHEL5 (2.6.18-194.8.1). Previous versions of Firefox were working fine.

I have run the application in safe mode (everything checked), deleted my .mozilla, reinstalled Firefox, reinstalled GTK libraries, and searched the internet for hours and the closest one I could find to my problem was http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_... with no answer.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

I sometimes use Private Browsing. However, I noticed that when Private Browsing is enabled, plugins are disabled. I assume this is because some of the plugins maintain personal data, so Firefox cannot guarantee that the plugins will not store personal data during the Private Browsing session.

Still, I want to enable plugins during Private Browsing and I accept the risks involved. But I have not yet figured out how to enable plugins during Private Browsing.

How do I do enable plugins during Private Browsing?

I have firefox 3.0.6 on Linux (CentOS 5.5 latest) and have this problems for years with various versions of Firefox: on some asian sites, firefox uses 100% CPU. Can somebody reproduce this and fix this ?

hi, while I was playing with my linux, I removed some essential libraries and firefox cannot restart anymore. I cannot reinstall the missing libraries, then I will reinstall my distro again. But I want backup my bookmarks, but all info that I found about bookmarks backup you need a working firefox to save them. I just want copy the file where my bookmarks data is saved, where is this file? In .mozilla ?

Hello, I am attempting to use a combination of Vidalia and the Torbutton Firefox extension to access the Tor network. However, every time I do, Firefox refuses to load any pages, stating that it is connected to a proxy that is refusing connections. My operating system is Ubuntu 10.04. when i select the my account icon it takes me to a page to select mobile account or broadband account. when i select mobile account it goes to the firefox error page , cannot connect with orange etc. ive spoken to orange help and there is no prob with site and i can access it from my mobile. but not the lap top that uses firefox.
