In the Find box, sometimes the search skips over my word of interest before I fully type in the word.

I would like to search the old fashioned way in the Find box. Let me completely type my search word and hit Enter before the search commences.

Is this possible?

I do not have the "Search as You Type" option turned on, which really does not apply to the Find box.

I changed my persona to a different one but when I close and re-open Firefox, it's reset to the one before. This has happened several times before and I have no idea what is going on

When I downloaded version 5.0 I can no longer find how to get to my homepage of yahoo.com. Where did it go. Once had a little house icon, then when upgraded it become a "Y" icon. Now can't even find that. How do I get from my mail page to the home page? Very frustrating.

I have repeatedly tried VIEW to get my two most important toolbars to come back. My Bookmarks bar is gone and so is my URL bar, so I can't copy URLs or type in known addresses. Updating to Foxfire 5 didn't help.

I use the add-on TabGroups Manager and I like to hibernate tab groups to save memory. When a tab group is hibernated, I can bring it back even after I close Firefox and shutdown my computer. With the new Panorama(Tab Groups), is it also possible to hibernate tab groups so I can open them later?

I'd like to roll back to FF4.x until my add-ons are updated for 5.0, but I can't find 4.0 on the mozilla website (even though I can find 3.6.x). Is there a plan to have 4.0 support, or has it been so completely superseded by 5.0 that it's actually unsafe to use?

As general feedback, I'd like to suggest that the compatibility check for add-ons happen *before* confirming the update: it's just unnecessarily frustrating when something breaks and it's too late to go back.

I have a mac, I was using firefox 3.6.16 which works just fine. I tried updating to version 4, but the appearance was weird and the preferences pane was all kinds of screwed up. I downloaded version 5 today and its pretty much the same as version 4. I have tried using safe mode and it works fine, I disabled all extensions and none of it works.

I'm not happy with the new browser and would like to return to the previous version, however I'm not able to find the link for your older versions.

Would appreciate it greatly if you could point me to the right direction.

I switched my files from my old XP laptop to a new Windows 7 laptop. I verified the profile and it is selecting the same profile as my old computer, but I still do not have any bookmarks, settings, etc. What am I doing wrong?

I just upgraded to Firefox 5 and found that it does not support the Google toolbar, which I need. Until Firefox 5 supports this toolbar, I want to return to the previous release of Firefox. How do I do this?

since firefox4 (also applicable for firefox 4.01 and 5.0) i get a lot of "file not found" errors when i open firefox and firefox restores the session. with firefox 3.x i don't had this error.

if only ~3 tabs are open, there everything is loaded without problem but most of the time i have >15 tabs in the session and about 50% of them are loaded with the "file not found" error.

i tried some of the solutions i found in the forum:

• disabled ipv6
• disabled dns prefetch
• disabled all plugins/addons (created a new profile)
• disabled proxy

the firewall is correctly configured, other browsers work without problems (even firefox 3.5).
