Is it possible to have the search bar not go directly to a search engine when you enter a website into it?

I do not like how every time I search something it sends me to a search engine website, like Google. I just want to go to the website that I typed in. For example, if I t… (pročitajte više)

I do not like how every time I search something it sends me to a search engine website, like Google. I just want to go to the website that I typed in. For example, if I type in facebook.com it will send me to whatever results come up on Google. I just want to go to Facebook. Because of this, I am not able to link websites to my friends, because in the URL box it only shows the last thing I searched/typed in into that box. So my question is, is there a way to disable this search engine option?

why does plugin container use 56% of my processor power slowing my machine down? I can't print maps from Google either when this wasn't a problem before. I have to say that Mozilla are going the way of "another well known software house".

Mozilla are morphing into an evil twin of another large and well known software house.

How do I alphabetize my bookmarks. "Sort by Name" option only sorts general bookmark folders, not actual bookmarks.

Right after 3.6.7 download, clicking on Firefox shortcut produced (1) unending stream of windows asking if I wanted to remove the shortcut. Clicking them away only led to… (pročitajte više)

Right after 3.6.7 download, clicking on Firefox shortcut produced (1) unending stream of windows asking if I wanted to remove the shortcut. Clicking them away only led to still more, one behind the other in the center of the screen. This then happened with every other clicked shortcut icon. (2) Clicking to open an e-mail in Thunderbird then led it to chew through and delete all further e-mail, stopped only by closing Thunderbird. Rebooting did no good. Only a system restore.
