Love the new apps tab but how do I make them permanent? When I get them set up I go to tools-options-general-use current pages. However when i restart firefox, the app tabs are gone and the program starts with some generic firefox home page (not my custom set-up which is I-Google, gmail, weather, facebook and business mail account). I'm running window 7 ultimate on my desktop and windows 7 home premium on my laptop. I'm using a hardwire T-1 cable connection to the internet. My ISP is AT&T.

i get a prompt to update firefox and i do then when i try to start firefox i am unable to. i have back-up my computer to previous date and the uninstall and re-install firefox to find the same prompt for updates from firefox and i cant ignore it so it is always there.

There is also no link at the bottom of this page to visit the full site. It says this in the About part of Firefox (Minefield).

Every time I restart Firefox, or simply close it and reopen it, the toolbar layout resets. Buttons I had previously hidden, like the back/forward buttons, become visible again and I have to hide them each time I start my Firefox session.

I'm in YouTube HTML5 video player beta program (http://youtube.com/html5), but even with it being enabled, every time I play a YouTube video it's still using Flash player.

Since I started using 4.0b1 I have had this issue. On starting, and on opening a new window, an error box appears with the above message. Clicking OK removes the box and Firefox starts/opens window normally.

I turned the laptop yest af'noon and that night I could not get back into my old email account of scrapgran43@hotmail.com. None of the passwords- old/new- would work. I have lots of contacts that I need there. 8/13/10 I was told by my pastor that several people have been getting a SCAM email from my old address:scrapgran43@hotmail.com asking for $2500 as I'm SUPPOSED to be stranded out of country. PLEASE TRACK THIS AND STOP IT!!!!

It seems to only happen when I open/reload pages with flash content (But not while they are running), and especially if I open more than one tab. Reloading all (Often 20+) tabs == certain crash.

we were using IE7 and having trouble with it so now we are using Firefox, but I can't inport IE favorites casue the import function is greyed out and non functional

Dear, I had used firefox beta but removed it because when i open live tv channels webistes then in firefox beta many problems occured for instance: I had media player 11 but it was showing windows media player 7 and channels was neither starting nor working in firefox beta versions and even it was difficult to open webpage completely.

Note: This problem is not present in firefox 3.6 versions but one problem is present in all versions which is very very slow downloading speed specially youtube and live TV channels websites.

Tabs are not working properly, when I open a Tab up I get blank screen and when I select a site from Bookmarks it loads on the first tab instead of the tab I opened up. and when I click the X to close the Tabs I opened it won't close. and everything else ceases to work. I can't open Feedback to submit feedback about this bug, nor can I access Add-Ons to see whats Enabled and what's not.

I should of stuck with Beta 4.0.2 instead of upgrading to Beta 4.0.3 because everything was working fine then until this new update destroyed Firefox. I'm going to have to use another browser until this is fixed, because I can't use a browser like this. There's just too many bugs now. :/

I'm using FF 3.6.8. When I open a web page I need to use the zoom out feature on each page to get the full page to display on my screen. Generally, two clicks on the mouse wheel, holding the control key, does it. How do I get this page size setting permanent on FF so I don't have to re-size when I open a page?

My email program, smartzone has started coming on as Smartzone Lite even though I have it set to work on the regular Smartzone. It works fine on IE. This problem makes my email list come up with HUGE print and it is very awkward to use. I want the Smartzone regular back. Please tell me what to do.

The browser updated a week or two ago, and now I can't close the pop ups when tthey open. There is no option to close.

Also, the contrast is now horrible so I can't read certain boxes on web pages such as the one below this box where it says This Happened. It is all black

My download speed with the current version of Firefox has been between 165 and 250 Kbs. I installed 4.0 Beta 3 and the download speeds remained the same. I am running Windows 7. I had Verizon check my DSL lines and they tested 1.2 Gbs download and 0.75 Gbs upload. I even had a tech come out to verify we had no line problems.

The downloads are so slow that I often can not get a YouTube video to run without stuttering.

I have ESET Anti-Virus and firewall.
