Firefox has been my browser of choice for over 15 years. Recently, it has crashed on me, causing me to lose any work I was doing. At any time, I receive a notice at the top of the page stating that I'm not connected to the internet, accompanied by the Firefox Symbol. I have to restart, and then it holds for a bit before crashing again.

So, Thunderbird crashed today, and I was writing up a nice Crash Report when the dialog I was typing into vanished! I have no idea if it sent what I was typing (I didn't initiate a "send" [I don't know how "Submit" was languaged, there]).

This is the only way I could find to pass this information on to, hopefully, the developers. I suppose I could hunt for a Bugzilla vehicle, but I'm pretty busy, right now, so you're lucky you're getting this! It took a while to get here!!!

I wasn't sure what to select for the type of question so you can move it if you think another type would be better. I would have selected crashes but that isn't an option.

It happened again a few minutes ago while watching Star Trek First Contact. The Phoenix was about to go to warp and Firefox CTD with no crash reporter and when I looked in about:crashes there was no crash report. This exact situation happened twice while watching the movie Signal unknown or whatever the title is.

The problem began when I was browsing Google maps through Firefox, it gave the prompt to view it through the Google maps app instead. Google maps needed an update, I was on low data mode, I got impatient and canceled that update, then somehow Firefox wasn't allowing me to finish a sentence in the search bar afterwards. Now it doesn't let me open new tabs, exit out of already open tabs, or access the browser settings without freezing for 3 seconds and going to the home screen.

I've updated Firefox to version 139.2, I've searched for some crash log information for iPhone 11 and didn't understand it too well (one suggested to search from Privacy and Security->Analytics and Improvements->Analytics data and to search for "client" but got nothing). I couldn't figure out what more to do with the app from my home screen or settings, I turned my phone off and on yesterday yet it still happened. Any advice would be appreciated, I'm not experienced with technical things and don't want to risk having my bookmarks or passwords be erased in any way.

IOS version is 18.4.1 if that helps.

is anyone else having issues with this POS browser shutting down unexpectedly FREQUENTLY for NO reason. I thought the first dozen or so times it was updates, but only once or twice there was mention of new feature. I am SO over it and think Chrome with it's risks IS the smarter move

Firefox keeps crashing my computer while playing graphics-intensive games, yet with Firefox off they function perfectly. This seems to be still an issue since 2015. It'll be a shame to switch browsers since i been using this since it was called Netscape 2

I can't open the Inbox menu. Any other menu works fine; it's just the inbox menu that doesn't work. If I click on it twice, it crashes and stops working. However, email notifications still pop up properly, and the number increases too.

I believe this problem is caused by a false crash recovery loop, every time I open firefox it'll close again and then give me an annoying red striped address bar. I'm sure its not my extensions because I only have Ublock Origin installed.

It appears that I have a zombie Firefox browser running because when I close the browser using the top right 'X' button, the Firefox processes are still running when I check Task Manager.

If I end the Firefox task and reopen Firefox the first attempt seems to be stuck crashing because there's no crash log, but I can see in the task manager there's a crashhelper. A second attempt opens just fine, but the issue with that is my previously opened browsers are gone even with the setting to reopen them is enabled.

I've tried reinstalling, disabling my extensions, and updating Java, but none of these resolve the issue.

Now this has been going on as I have stated that this has been happening every time I use the website. NO ONE from Mozilla or Firefox has ever acknowledged receiving or trying to fix the crash log that is supposedly in your hands after the crash is reported. This has become really annoying. NOW, I have sent numerous email to Mozilla and Firefox asking for the help to solve this issue and what do I get ZIP, NADA, ZILCH as in NOTHING! Why is that - no one has time to deal with the crash logs that are supposedly being sent every time I get a crash?

Just a day or so ago I got an email from a Mozilla guy Wai Tse who said that he wouldn't do anything because he worked for Mozilla and not Firefox. He sent me a link that I opened and when I did it had MOZILLA AND FIREFOX everywhere. So now I am thinking WTF people - is this a personal thing?
