Please look at the pictures: 1. the image "Thunderbird Address Book scrollbar is extremely narrow.png" shows the new Address Books scrollbar 2. the image "Example of normal width scrollbar.png" shows the scrollbar within a particular Address Book

I can't find anything in Thunderbird that will allow me to change this. The normal width scrollbar is probably set in Windows settings.

When scrolling down I choose to read an article in a new window. When I open the new window, on the right side, a pop up window appears titled “Join the Conversation” or “More from Daily Express” blocking some of the article’s words. How can I stop this pop up window from appearing? Thanks.

I looked through the help files but still have no formatting toolbar when trying to create my signature in order to format the font, color, ...etc. I set me messages to be sent in HTML and checked the box in Account Settings to use HTML too. I can type my signature content but there is no formatting bar at all. I'm using the TB new beta 60 version.

Why in Thunderbird or in any other known email client software, do I have to create a new email using "forward" or copy-paste, in order to resend an email that for some reason, like the destination server mail was down, did not reach the destination and has to be resend again? Why not create an option or a button for "resend", that just repeats the email and sends it again to the destination email addresses? It seems a basic option that should exist in every email client software, but unfortunately it does not exist.

I'm new to Thunderbird so this is pretty basic I know, but? I want to set the font style, size, and (color although that doesn't seem to be an available option) and make them my default for all newly composed emails. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Using latest version of Thunderbird (52.01) on Windows 10. Tried to download the Lightening Add On via Thunderbird and directly from Mozilla, but this was flagged as not compatible with this version of Thunderbird and the Add On could not be downloaded.

How can I get the Lightning functionality and features into this version of Thunderbird?

Before the recent 1-2 updates, pdfs,pictures and .torrent meta files used to get saved in temp folder which I LOVED very much. Recently these are getting save in my download folder instead of saving in the temp folder.

I changed this setting to allows ask. Still the files are getting saved in the download folder after opening.

Please assist me to resolve this issue. Thanks.

When trying to add items to Toolbar via 'Customise' i.e. add print symbol to header- just shows no entry sign wherever I try to drag it to - I also can't reorder the items by 'click and drag'. These problems occurred recently, presumably an update was added automatically and reset my settings.

I was wondering if Thunderbird can play an mp3/wav song as the e-mail alert or is it restricted to just a maximum 5 second sound file? I installed Tonequilla and tried some of the sounds that came with that but TB would only play the smaller files so I am guessing there is a restriction. I am using TB v 52.7.0 in a linux environment but I have also have V 52.7.0 on a windows xp computer as well. You already know this but when you browse for sound files from within TB it does not recognize mp3 files only WAV and OGG the other aspect is that WAV files are enormous in comparison e.g in the attached image there is an extract from a song The Brightest Star. TB plays the OGG file but will not play the MP3 or the WAV and the WAV being uncompressed is significantly larger. I also installed Mailbox Alert, there is a Command feature in that and I was wondering if that can be programmed to launch and play an MP3 track as an alert although I would be at a loss as to what commands to put in there. We have multiple email accounts. How do I make one of the accounts the default sender address when we Send to a document to Mail Recipient? Or how can I change the order of the email accounts on Thunderbird that they appear?

I just installed Thunderbird and only my name comes up in the "From" option when I write a message. I wish to add my wife's name so that she can send her own messages with her name. (The email address will be the same but the name in front of the email address will be hers.)

Since a few weeks I use Thunderbird 38.1.0.

But when I will get some add-ons, the site informs me that all the add-ons are not compatible with my version of Thunderbird 38.1.0.

I use windows 7 Pro 64.

Please can anybody help me with this problem?

Since Comcast will no longer allow me to "send" from my AOL Address I need to change my "from:" address on every e-mail I send. I thought I could make my Comcast outgoing server the default one and that would take care of it - it didn't. Then I thought I could just delete my AOL outgoing server and Thunderbird would then have to use my Comast Outgoing Server - it doesn't. I can continue to try and remember to change the FROM with the drop down list but it would sure be nice if I could save this aging brain of mine and make the software default for me.
