Have had lots of problems with ffox. everything was ok, until i had a HD failure, and needed to change /update Windows 11 info.

1) I had a dual login setup (for two different id's) selected at startup. I now have about 10 different '.default' directories I am attempting to recover.

a) is there a place in the backup (default) directories that will show me the name of the acccount i was using? b) is there a way to put a comment in the (new directories) I will be re-creating? c) is there a way to put the new profile in a different spot (instead of (example: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\) perhaps something like %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\user1 instead??

very time consuming and difficult. I am using the directory dates to try and find the best one... thanks in advance

I'm expressing a strong dislike for the very shortened list of paper sizes in Firefox in the Print function.

One big reason I use Firefox over Chrome and MS Edge is the long list of paper sizes. Now the list is a small fraction of what was there. And how many people know what sizes are the likes of A4, B3, JIS-B4. It takes extra time to figure out what works best.

The old list with Letter Plus, Letter Extra, Legal Plus, etc. was MUCH MORE useful. If I were to eliminate anything, it would be the meaningless A5, B5, etc.

At least give us an option of the old or too short new list of paper sizes.

If my comments aren't appropriate in this forum, please provide a link to where I can submit it.

hi i was wondering if workspaces could be separated like a new profile. i have two workspaces but singed in google account on one workspace still shows on another workspace. is there any way to fully separate the two workspace?

I can't use Firefox at all, because I can't create any profile. I haven't ever installed Firefox in the past on this computer. The error message is attached as an image. Here are the things I've tried: Reinstalling Firefox multiple times, both the exe and the msi Running Firefox as administrator Deleting/renaming the profiles.ini file and the Firefox folder Trying to make the folder not read only with the properties Trying to make another folder elsewhere that isn't in appdata roaming, which doesn't show the error message, but gives another message saying "your changes couldn't be saved" and closes firefox immediately without creating the profile (other screenshot)

Another thing to note is that I'm only able to install Firefox by running the installer as administrator, because it shows an error message "can not create temp folder archive" and stops working.

Please help, I really want to use this browser.

I have a number of issues with my profiles.ini file.

The first that I'd like to deal with is that I have several profiles that have a Locked=1 flag associated with them. The headings for these are in the form [Install...] where ... is an alphanumeric string. Some of them [Install...] profiles have the same path as other Locked flag profiles and/or with a profile with a heading in the form [Profile...] where ... is a number.

My questions are: 1. How did this happen? 2. How can I prevent it from happening again? 3. What are the consequences of having these multiple profiles? 4. How can I deal with these consequences?

Hello, I have many PCs in my home. Office, Kitchen, Lounge, Bedroom, Man-Cave etc etc etc. I do most of my work on my main PC, but I move around a bit. So I would like to be able to copy My entire Firefox Nightly Build across all my PCs. I have about 16 profiles set up for various jobs. I have seen a few posts that tell me to copy the User/appdata/roaming/firefox folder from one pc to another, but after trying this I ended up with nothing. Is there a simple folder selection I can sync across my network? Thanks

I'm trying to set up Sync across devices but the login page at https://accounts.firefox.com it takes me to never actually does anything after I click the "Sign In" button and it becomes greyed out. See attached Screenshot.

• It definitely is the right password
• I can login here at support.mozilla.org using the same credentials unless I'm mistaken
• It happens on other browsers and on a new profile in Firefox

I'm suspecting maybe it's related to me using the Profiles feature?

Something about corruption risk. But i wanted to keep the profile because i customized with a lot of plugins, themes, already.

So i edited the INI file the version number with the newer version number and then it worked and as far as i can see there are no problems. Is this okay?

how do I keep the profile available when I close Firefox? in trying to transfer Firefox bookmarks from Windows 10 on one computer to Firefox on a new one using Windows 11?

I had to do a clean reinstall of MacOS. I've copied my old profile info from Time Machine to /[user]/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles, but when I open Firefox, it doesn't find the data. What am I doing wrong?

after downloading latest Firefox, suddenly seeing a looooooooong list of commands which were not there earlier.(see on the right). all these additions are not described in the changes summary! further, the command "Take screenshot" does not work. the earlier extension for screenshots which i had is also not to be seen. so added moravi screenshot but unable to take any screenshot, full or part.

Firefox in the task bar will not gob to full screen. It shows any open sites but will not expand the browser to full screen. Microsoft edge operates fine from the task bar. How can I fix the issue

I'm working on a Firefox extension where I need to detect print event. I've tried the following approaches:

• beforeprint – Fires immediately when the print dialog opens (works correctly in Chrome).
• afterprint – Fires immediately when the dialog closes (works correctly in Chrome).
• window.focus and visibilitychange – Work inconsistently with noticeable delay, depending on how Firefox handles focus/visibility updates after closing the dialog.

Questions: 1. Is there a reliable way in Firefox to detect print event? 2. Are there any known workarounds or events that could be used for this purpose?
