I am so tired of everything getting some half baked language learning model shoved into it where it doesn't need anything. This browser used to be the safe alternative that won't sell your data. Its the main reason i switched to it. Now our data is being fed to a stupid AI.

I already turned off everything relating to it. But I shouldn't have had to. This sucks.

Today as I got to work (Windows 11 machine), I had a suspicious Firefox.exe file on my Desktop, it was not a shortcut, but exe file. I did a little investigation and research, and I noticed some difference from Program Files exe file and Firefox.exe on my Desktop:

I scanned both files in VirusTotal, and they both seems clean and legit

Can somebody assure me that both files are OK, and can somebody explain to me why Firefox.exe appeared on my Desktop, and why is there difference between two files in size, Copyright info, and original filename ?

Tell me how to delete all my comments that I have made at Mozilla. None of my comments are valid and I wish to have them all deleted.

I don't want to get my device track or see my search history or search engine or if anyone get my device then they can't copy transfer data or add another device without my pin code or finger print

Suddenly today Thunderbird requires that I input my email password before it can connect and send an email. I have checked the box "remember password" and restarted Thundebird, but it will still ask for the password. I have checked under the security settings to display password and my password is there, but for some reason Thunderbird has just decided not to use the information that it has. I run Windows 8 and have not added any new software or performed any updates besides automatic anti-virus updates. Is there any way to get Thunderbird to go back to the way it was and not require a password everytime I restart it. I have no interest in establishing a master password. Thank you to anyone who can provide an answer.

I had chess scores and high level thinfags i had done I wanna be able to save them even if there locked i don't give my email to just anyone because its always full but I keep scoring high close on chess and your browser keeps deleting it. Now I could do it on a normal tabe but its capped and if you cant do it I know Google has the ability I just tested it out yesterday and they have a save incognito tabs with pin options so if tou guys cant help me and give me my lost game scores and elo im deleting the app permanently today and just switching to Google, Thanks for reading Ps this happened yesterday and there was a screen lock and I chose yours because I thought it still might be easier but the screen lock went away and now I lost all of the hard work I put in thats very frustrating

I try to connect to pop3.cogeco.ca to download my mail. I get a warning screen that says the security certificate is invalid because it points to another site. When I check into the details, it tells me that the certificate is issued to "pop.cogeco.ca" by GoDaddy.com

When I try to send an email a message pops up saying 'error saving message to sent'. A second message sometime comes. The IMAP server imap.tiscali.co.uk does not seem to support encrypted passwords.. Try changing paswords

I used Startup Master to keep my e-mails private. However, by just keep clicking 'cancel' when asked for the password, Thunderbird opens and you can read all my mails. Is there any bug in that add-ons?. It's not only happened in add-on, I happens in default master password too.

I have attached a screenshot of the incoming message from a scam email. It was a request to buy an itunes gift card. Although the name of the sender is mentioned in the subject, the message came from an email address that is not in my contacts. In spite of this, the Correspondents column showed the trusted name, which caused me to respond, although I didn't send money. Can the trusted name be replaced with the actual bogus email address? That would add security.

We use several IMAP accounts as archives and I want to be able to search them in the global search and look through them, but safeguard against accidentally deleting an email there for example. In the ideal the whole account or nominated folders in it are flagged read-only and cannot be modified. Alas cannot find a way to do this in the UI nor with Google's help. So hopefully there is a way and someone can help me find it, and if not, convert it to a feature request!

Trying to set up Thunderbird to access email on Mediacom email servive. should be encrypted, but Thundeerbird only finds unencrypted connection. When I try to enter settings, Tbird fails to find access. If i try to accept lower security settings, Tbird protests. Frontier Communications says Mozilla Thunderbird uses a lower security sign-in. They want me to use an email client that supports OAuth. What is OAuth? Can I use it with Thunderbird? If yes, how do I configure TBird to support OAuth? At present I use TBird with POP3 protocol, and it has been entirely satisfactory. Thanks, y'all.

When I first open TB I get a message titled "Secure connection failed"

The Message then reads as follows:

I have followed the suggestions from other threads but under tools I don't have the 'options' option, so I don't know how to access my password or re-set a new one. I have tried logging out and logging back in, but it logs me back in automatically. I just can't send emails as it asks me for my password. What can I do? Your help is much appreciated.

Used ClamXav and it found phishing e-mails in various Thunderbird folders (InBoxes, Trash, etc.) I understand that most of these emails aren't dangerous per se (I'm aware of the ones tagged), but I still want to get rid of them permanently. I have put them in the trash, emptied the trash, compacted the folders, and even installed Xpunge as an Add-on. Yet every time I go to the TB profiles and open the InBox or Trash of a particular mailbox (it's a document file), all that stuff is still there. In fact, if I run ClamXav again after "deleting" all the e-mails, the phishing warnings still appear for those elements I thought I deleted. What's going on? Thanks.

I'm sure I'm not alone in occasionally forgetting to specify BCC when send emails to a contact group - until you've just hit Send, of course! For example, if a contact group is made up of people whose privacy is very important to them (eg people with mental health issues, ex-convicts etc), the mere fact of sending a CC group email, however innocuous in itself, is a considerable invasion of privacy. Even for uncontroversial emails, many people understandably resent having their email addresses made public, even to a limited group, unless they know and trust the rest of the group. I feel that email clients should make BCC the default for group emails. If Thunderbird can include a warning of missing attachments - a relatively trivial annoyance - this seems to me of far greater significance.
