I had trouble during the installation of Thunderbird, it would not connect to my email account with Xfinity. However, I could connect via the web.

Finally, I tried the manual route and there (accepting all given entries) I was able to connect with Xfinity just fine. I hope this helps others. I think there may be a bug in the installation process.

In the past, I was able to follow Firefox's instructions to connect both my phone and laptop (scan or sign in with email). Now when I try the scan method, I get an "error" message on my laptop while the phone says I need confirmation from my other device. When I try to sign into my Firefox app on my phone using my email, I click the sign in button but it doesn't work. How do I fix this?

I cannot use Thunderbird to work at all with Yahoo, though it does work with yahoo. FWIW, Yahoo does work with Firefox.

Thunderbird used to work, maybe several weeks ago. When I tried to set it up again, it kept asking me to enter my pin, and it said I could reset my pin under sign in options, but there is no place I could find sign in options.

I deleted my yahoo account from Thunderbird, then tried to add a new account for Yahoo.

Recently, Firefox stopped asking to save passwords, which has caused some issues. I read that "private browsing" prevents password saving, but is Mozilla VPN the same as private browsing? Do I need to turn VPN off & on whenever creating/changing passwords? Thanks! Melissa B.

I use Thunderbird (version 137.0.1 (64-bit) Portable Edition) with a master password that is requested at startup. Under Settings - Privacy & Security I can view the saved access data, which is also correct. If I now close Thunderbird and open it again the next day, for example, I very often have to re-enter 2 of the 6 access data. One is the access to my Baikal server, the other is my caldav access to icloud.com.

Is this a known problem? Is there a solution or a work-a-round?

Received an error first stating I need to login, used passwords on file but then was told server needs to be edited, attempted to edit for no auth/pw but did not work... Now I am receiving this error. I can email from fax@mcvayphysicaltherapy.com but not my main acct of info@mcvayphysicaltherapy.com and I am receiving email but not allowed to email out.

I continue to receive pop-ups on my home page to Thunderbird. it says log-in failed. I was able to send & receive messages yesterday, but today I can not get into my account to check my emails. Nothing has changed regarding my username or password. Can you help me correct this situation please?. Thank you.

Hi, I am getting a message asking for password, when I enter password which is correct I get the message

When I try to log in to Thunderbird on my PC, I continue to get this message: Login to server imap.comcast.net with username XXXXXX@comcast.net failed. I am able to access my emails on my phone which doesn't use Thunderbird. I have been using Thunderbird with this email address for many years and have had no issues, this just started today. Please Help - I'm doing something wrong. Firefox makes me log in to websites when I have saved the password and kept the cookies. Why? Obviously I don't understand firefox's password procedures.

In my settings my user name and password are saved for specific sites. (others I have set to Never remember) Password options are set as follows: Ask to save passwords - ticked Fill usernames and passwords automatically - ticked Suggest strong passwords - ticked Suggest Firefox Relay email masks to protect your email address - ticked Show alerts about passwords for breached websites - ticked Require device sign in to fill and manage passwords - not ticked Use a Primary Password - not ticked Allow Windows single sign-on for Microsoft, work, and school accounts - not ticked

Cookies and Site Data settings are: Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed - ticked In the “Exceptions”/ Exceptions for Cookies and site data option all the web sites which I want to keep and log in automatically are listed with “allow” In other words, I am trying to delete Cookies by default, but keep them for these specific websites, as an exception.

I therefore expect Firefox to automatically log me into those specific websites when I visit them So why does Firefox make me log in again every time I visit those specific websites?
