Hi, I've been trying to access academic articles through my university library online database. My browser often directs the shibboleth authentication to the sign-in page of my previous university, not to my current ones. An example is provided below: the first link gets automatically changed to the send one. How can I stop the browser from doing this, so that I can log in through my current university account? I am using Firefox on my MacOS Tahoe. There is a persistent annoying issue where whenever I close (physically fold) my laptop screen and reopen it, Firefox will be frozen. It will be frozen in the sense that I am unable to interact with any tabs or anything until I manually quit Firefox and reopen it (which automatically reopens all my tabs), making it usable again. This doesn't happen every time I close and reopen my Mac, but it definitely happens the majority of the time and makes the browser hard to use.

I've attached a screenshot of what a new window looks like when Firefox is frozen. It looks just like a Firefox window when unfocused.

Notes:

• It doesn't entirely freeze Firefox. In fact, I can "switch" to a different tab by clicking on the tab and then shutting and reopening my laptop again. The new tab will show on reopening but Firefox will still be frozen. This process can be repeated.
• I can pretty consistently replicate the bug by shutting my laptop, waiting 10 seconds, and reopening it. This will almost always result in the freeze.
• The bug still happens if I'm not focused on the Firefox window but on a different app.
• The bug doesn't seem to happen if I just lock my screen but don't shut it closed.

Things I've tried that haven't fixed it:

• Updating my OS.
• Restarting my laptop.
• Disabling hardware acceleration.
• Disabling themes and extensions.
• Deleting and reinstalling Firefox, including deleting the user data in the "Library/Application Support" folder.

When I play a downloaded video that is in English, my downloaded file plays back in a foreign language, not English. What am I doing to cause this and how can I have the English version only in playback everytime? I downloaded firefox desktop for my imac 27" none of the passwords I had on file would work so I changed the password and tried it. It appeared to work but after a while the incorrect password came up again. I continued to try using the code you sent via email several times and even though it appeared to. accept the password it still rejects your code. I have tried both caps and lower case characters but it still rejects the login

latest version of firefox sometimes will not ask to save passwords or remember them. seems if i try to set up a new password it doesn't want to save it, but set up pass key instead. thanks

My husband and I both use Firefox as our default browser. His macbook air did an auto update of his firefox and now he has no bookmarks, no search history and none of his many open windows are there. He has to file his timesheets tonight so we can get paid in a month's time. What help can you offer? I have a new computer and I want to sync my Firefox account but the Sign In button next to Sync and save data options are missing from the browsers in both devices.

How do I fix this issue?

When viewing Kannada text in Firefox 142.0.1 (64-bit) on macOS [your version], conjunct letters (ottaksharas/ligatures) do not display correctly. Instead of showing combined forms like ಶ್ರೀ (shri), ತ್ವ (tva), ತ್ರ (tra), the characters appear split into individual glyphs.

This issue is browser-specific:

In Safari and Chrome, the same text renders properly with correct Kannada shaping.

In Firefox, the ligatures fail to render, making Kannada text appear broken and unreadable.

Apple Support confirmed that the system rendering is fine and advised reporting this to Firefox.

We have two computers in our house -- one connection. From my computer I sent something to my daughter, the second computer in our house. For some reason, my whole Facebook account transferred to her computer ad she is unable to use her own Facebook account. We have no idea how this happened. Can anyone help? Thank you . .

The "History" tab does not show recent history. I cannot recover recent internet locations because the history does not include them. It shows the same older history over and over. When I request "all history" the list ends in August. It is not reassuring that the history shown is multiple sites of my online use, of Vanguard the investment company.

I recently lost all my data on my computer and after logging into my account, I couldn't retrieve my firefox data. I searched everywhere on my browser and couldn't find nothing to fix this.
