Firefox has been my default browser on Mac IOS for several years. I update Firefox regularly, the last being several days ago. I've recently had problems with Firefox freezing as I sometimes manually log-in to Amazon. All other tabs are affected. I have to quit, reopen.

  It is now affecting my purchases on Amazon.  I'm asked to provide a security code from my bank to complete the purchase. The code is initially accepted, but quickly the purchase is rejected by Amazon. Both Amazon and my bank said that there were no blocks on my account.
  I subsequently went to Safari, where I have no problems whatsoever with Amazon. Amazon has not asked me for a bank code to domplete the purchase.
  I think the problem is in my Settings, but it all looks okay. Cookies are cleared. Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Two days ago while using Firefox my interface/window changed. Whereas before I could have many, many tabs opened across the top of my window, suddenly they are gone. I now have one place where I can put in my new search and no ability to easily access formerly opened tabs. So if I am in my gmail account I can open different tabs/searches and go back and forth between them and my gmail or between search and search. I like to keep open tabs that I want to return to easily - things I haven't completed reading, things I need to get back to to fill out something, etc. Now I can't get to them easily. I know that there is a history, but I am may be wanting to find a tab that I opened two weeks ago and don't remember the date or the name. If they were still opened in this bar across the top (and I am not referring here to bookmarks), I can find them. When I no longer want them opened I delete them. I don't know if this problem is due to the recent Firefox update or if I did something by mistake that caused this. It is making my use of Firefox as my browser very cumbersome and impractical. I also can't spend hours and hours reading through Firefox materials to see if I can find a way out of this problem. Ideally, if I could speak to an actual help desk person, that would be great. I am an 80 year old woman who would like to be able to keep up with all my interests and activities and not being able to use Firefox in the way that I have will really be an obstacle. I have two separate Firefox accounts, with separate emails to log in and their own sets of bookmarks, passwords, etc. I want to merge all the data from both of those into a single profile of a single account under just one of the emails.

I'm pretty sure I've done this before, by: 1. Logging into account A and syncing. 2. Logging out of account A without deleting data. 3. Logging into account B and syncing. With the result that account B now contains all its original data plus all the data from account A.

But when I just tried to do this process now, at the point of logging in to account B I got the error "Account limit reached for this profile. This profile was previously synced to a different account. To keep your data organised and secure, each Firefox profile can only be synchronised to one account. To sign in using [account B], create a new profile."

I don't want to have separate profiles with the data from accounts A and B, I want it all merged into the same profile. How can I achieve this?

bold textWhen I opened my computer this morning without warning the Firefox had a new default page and all my information was gone. I've tried deleting and redownloading and trying to follow the instructions on how to transfer the information, I could not get anything to work. I know I'm doing something wrong but have no ideas what I am suppose to do. Very disappointed I had some importat information on the desktop and would like to get it back.

after looking through many Forums and solutions on the internet, nothing can resolve my issue, so i hope this one can help. I just switched to Firefox and have the reaccuring problem, that i cannot load sites, that are located in my local network (e.g. homeassistant.local; 192.168.8.265:2283).

I always get a "server not found" error from firefox and the certificate information, that i am communicating through an unsecured connection (haha, yes good joke firefox. I know my local services do not all have an SSL certificate.) I already tried altering settings for Proxy, DNS over https, MACos Safety settings but nothing helps. I am jsut looking for that one "trust this domain" button, that i get on 'ALL OTHER BROWSERS like Chrome, Safari and Edge...

P.S.: All the services are up and running and i can reach them through any other Browser.

QUESTION FOR FACEBOOK AND MAX FIREFOX USERS OS 26.3.1 on MacBook Air. Just called Apple trying to figure out if there is a setting somewhere to allow drag and drop of Photos into Facebook. I can drag and drop Photos into new FB posts, FB Messages, texts, emails etc. But I can't change the Cover or Profile Photo on Facebook by drag and drop. Facebook doesnt seem to have access to any photos but those previously posted. After an hour+ with Apple, checking all the settings o FB, Apple, and Firefox, he thinks it's an issue with Firefox and Facebook. I don't have a similar issue on IOS..IPhone or Ipad. Any thoughts?

Up until the last week, on my iMac, if I clicked on the Firefox button on my bottom toolbar, both of my main FF windows (each with multiple tabs and open all the time) would come to the front of the screen.

Now, only one window comes up and I have to specifically select the other window to see it.

Is this a new behaviour or have I inadvertently deactivated whatever it was that let me do as I have always done previously!

I can't find any setting that appears to refer to this condition.

Several extensions were recently deleted without my input. Among them were Duck Duck Go Privacy Essentials, Keeper Password Manager, and Apple's iCloud Password autofill. I know there were others, but I cannot even recall which ones they were. Not sure if this happened after the most recent update or later, but it happened at some point in the last 24 hours given that today is 3-15-2026 12:30 pm PST. I only discovered this when a tab popped up in Firefox asking me to complete a survey as to why I uninstalled Duck Duck Go Privacy Essentials, which in fact I NEVER did. See attached pic. Nor did I uninstall any of the aforementioned, et. al. Thanks Mozilla for f'ing up my settings and overall browsing experience across all of my devices without my consent.

I'm having problems with AOL ad blockers. The program says that I have ad blocker plus turned on in my Firefox extensions. I turned everything off in the exension menu and still have the same issue.

My Macbook wasn't responding, so I restarted it and force quit all applications. When I opened Firefox again, none of my bookmarks showed on my bookmarks bar. The bar itself is not hidden. I checked to make sure I have the same profile I always use open and I do. I also tried to go into Bookmarks, Manage Bookmarks, Import, but nothing is available to import.

My System Administrator upgraded my Macbook Pro laptop after upgrading from Sequoia to to Tahoe version 26.4. This was a JAMF migration. The reinstalled Firefox does not show my bookmarks, after logging in to Firefox with my username and password. I tried to restore bookmarks but it loaded only a few, from more than a decade ago.

Hello, First my Q, then a comment. My bookmarks all show the same date. I can't find what I was going to use for work today because I can't find it in the bookmarks. This has happened frequently, more than not. Please help. On another note, I had said the YouTube commercial blocking wasn't working, but it is now on my Mac OS after changing some settings. Now I'd like to do that on my iphone 11 if possible. I can't seem to open settings the same way. Thank you.

I set up Claude to use as my AI assistant in the Firefox sidebar. But, I made a mistake and signed in with my personal email and not my work email (which is attached to a paid Claude account). I cannot find an option to sign out of Claude and then sign back in with a different account. How is this to be done?

My computer is running very slowly since I updated my Mac with Sequoia OS. I use Firefox . I have ATT/Yahoo mail service. Could it be related to Norton? What is the fix? What is the best high security search engine home page to use on my mac with Sequoia OS?
