I have a iOS & I have been unable to open a link when clicking on a link (ex. Email link) it opens Firefox but only to the homepage. Won’t open the link to go to desired ‘address’

It hasn’t always done this but after last update

Using Safari and Apple's Mail app on iMac. I have multiple desktops with some Firefox pages open in some of them. If I click a link in an email from desktop that does not currently have an open Firefox window, Firefox does open a new window on that desktop but instead of giving it the focus, the focus jumps to whichever Firefox window on another desktop most recently had the focus. If I use the keyboard shortcut Cmd-Tab to return to the Mail and then Cmd-Tab again to switch back to Firefox, Firefox then gives the focus to the newly opened window on that desktop. This is annoying and seems like a bug.

Moin. Copy fast URL ?? Tapping address bar marks all of the www by default. OK. But only long pressing calls the context menu for copying etc. This is not very useable for me. Too often the marked range changes or gets unmarked.

What about a default context dropout menue by marked text? like in Brave etc.

I use siscom.net for my emails. The pointer doesn't seem to open the emails. It changes into a finger on a hand and doesn't trigger the opening of the emails. I'm using Windows 11.

I've always been able to highlight, copy, and then paste into Word or an email from Firefox, but today highlighting no longer gives me that functionality. I am running the most recent version of Windows 11. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions for solutions?

I am using Firefox 148.0 and Mac Tahoe 26.3.1.

When I click on a link in an email, two Firefox windows open. The window to the link opens, along with my homepage window, so two windows are opening in Firefox instead of just the one containing the link address. This is happening when using Thunderbird. However, I have tested this using Apple Mail and Outlook, and the same problem occurs. This problem happens whether I have Firefox already open or not. I have opened the email links with Firefox running in Troubleshoot / Safe mode and the problem persists. I have also cleared Firefox cache / site data / history and the problem concerning email links is still there. This problem arose after installing Firefox 148.0.

Anyone able to help solve this problem? Thank you for taking the time to read this report.

Since the latest update (v147), the address bar behaves like a normal text input rather than a URL input. This means that if I want to type, say, "google.com", it will autocorrect to "Google. com" (including the space). So every time I want to type a URL, I have to delete the space after every dot. It's very annoying.

I'm running a stock Pixel 9 Pro with all OS updates and standard GBoard keyboard. The problem persists with Firefox 147.0.1

All of the sudden when on say a Amazon page and you LEFT click on a item description typically a page will open about that item and now it doesn't anymore. If I want to see that item, I have to RIGHT click on it and have to chose "open link in new tab" and then can see details of my item. This happens on other pages as well. I can also hold down the LEFT side of the mouse and I will see a tab open that says "we can't preview this link" and in bold text it says "visit link"

How can I get it back to working like it should. Issue is only with my laptop, my other computers work just fine.

I am running a desktop with Win 11 pro with all the updates. I have Firefox as my web browser and Thunderbird for my email accounts, Talktalk, Aol and gmail. When I try to open a web page with a mailto link, although Firefox is set as default it will not open the link, oddly it will work with gmail. I do not have this problem with my other desktop running Win 7. How do I get it to work on Win 11. Please note I am a 80 year old and totally illiterate computerwise. Therefore I need the answer to be step by step and when you say open this or that please tell me how to open it. Geoff

In the updated sidebar, the browsing history and "Tabs from other devices" entries no longer support opening links in a new tab by simply clicking the middle mouse button (which should function like Ctrl + left-click). This was possible in the previous version of the browsing history. However, bookmarks in the new sidebar still allow opening links in a new tab using the middle mouse button. Additionally, there doesn’t seem to be a shortcut key for opening links in a split tab (side-by-side view). Currently, I have to drag and drop, which feels cumbersome. I suggest adding this feature to the right-click context menu, introducing a keyboard shortcut (e.g., Ctrl + left-click, or another modifier key), or an option to set allowing the middle mouse button to open links in a split tab. Alternatively, a double-right-click could also work. If this feedback cannot be directly forwarded to the developers, where should I post or submit these suggestions?

IPadOS 26.1 When I want to start a new search after viewing a webpage, I click at the top in the address bar and instead of the link being selected the page refreshes. I cannot change the address to view another page. The only way to accomplish starting new is to open a new tab.

Every browser I’ve used, Safari, Brave, Opera, etc. highlights the existing address when you double tap the address bar. There is the refresh icon at the far right, but I”m careful not to tap in that area, trying to avoid refreshing the page.

Is there an option to move the refresh option outside the address bar so that there isn’t this conflict?

As in the subject written, it is newly there again that when klicking on a URL-file (such as *.webloc) on the macOS desktop or somewhere in a folder, Firefox (actual 146.0.1 (aarch64)) is opening that URL and an empty browser-site behind. That one is absolutely not helpful and has always been klicked away…

Is there any adjustment possible or is it a mistake. The version before that did not happen and some years ago it did. In Safari does it work as it should (starting the browser itself opens an empty browser window; startin via a safed *.webloc opens only that URL)

Untill latest update when on a site was link, ex. http://site.site/repository/text.txt i could select the link and from context menu select "open link in new tab/window" or "save link as". Now only "copy link" action is available. Im on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS Thanks for any response.

First, is there a list of commandline options?

Second, I would like to be able to start Firefox with a specified URL from a batch file -or- a .net program. Then, either close FF -or- switch to a different URL. is this possible?

When i search for something on google the videos are all redirected to Yandex

When I click on the URL bar, the entire URL is highlighted. Then, if I click the left arrow, it brings my cursor to the start of the URL. After it moves my cursor, it then prepends the URL with the protocol (https://, http://, etc). My cursor is now no longer on the left side, and I need to hit my left-arrow key several more times to reach the left side.

Ideally, it would bring my cursor to the left side of the protocol, or show the entire URL, with protocol, in the URL bar, so that it does not need to prepend it.

Hi! Was just wondering if there was something preventing me from opening these kinds of pop-ups. Recently, I've been browsing old websites and noticed that links that are supposed to be pop-ups don't pop-up at all. Then, I tried to do the same on my website, and it still didn't work. I've pretty much done every solution I could find under the Sun, but none so far have worked whatsoever. Is this a new feature or is Firefox just being weird again?

Please help ;_; it's been stressing me out real bad for the past few hours!
