I've got Microsoft and google accounts plus I also checked my ISP account and all of them do it. After I send an item if I go and check sent items there are always two identical message there. I am running Linux Mint but I had the same problem under OpenSuse as well.

My Thunderbird email account is set up for freecycle.org. If I try to send emails to any other domain, ie gmail or yahoo, I get the above message.

If I select multiple emails and I click on the print button, then from the properties of the printer (Ricoh MP C3003) I select the bypass tray, only the first mail is printed from the bypass, all other from the default of the printer

Mozilla Thunderbird Portable installed on Surface 3 Pro worked a few times but now does not open while the process overheats the system. why?

Hi,

I'm having trouble setting up the IMAP mail from my work exchange server in a fresh install of Thunderbird. Once I'd put in the server address Thunderbird retrieved all of the security settings, which I've checked agains the provided settings that are listed in the webmail. I've also used these settings to set up IMAP mail on my phone to triple check everything. However, in the account set-up screen I still recieve the message "Configuration cannot be verified - Is your username/password correct?" (again, I checked everything I was using independently and they were accepted). Once I got out of the initial set-up screen the error changed to the following:

"The Kerberos/GSSAPI ticket was not accepted by the IMAP server <my email address>. Please check that you are logged into the Kerberos/GSSAPI realm."

The only possibility that I can think of is that Thunderbird is trying to use my email address instead of the server to authenticate which is why I'm recieving the error. The mail address is xx@uu.nl while the server is soliscom.uu.nl.

Any help or suggestions that anyone has would be welcome, Cheers.

Where are popup error messages logged so I can read them?

My SMTP keeps giving me error messages. It will not authenticate. It tells me that my ID or PW is incorrect, while it isn't. It asks me to reenter the passwo

Then Rogers gave up and said to talk to Thunderbird, since I can only send email using the same Authentication, when using my cell phone or their email address on their website. Today It was working intially on both my PC and Laptop and Cell. Then it started failing on all. After resetting the password for the first time, it worked on the PC and on the Laptop, but not on the cell. Then I reset the password again and then it was working on the Cell and the PC but not on the laptop. Then the PC stopped authentication too. Now only my cell is working. I can only send email from my Rogers account on their website or from my cell. That's when Rogers decided that it was out of their hands. Someting may be wong with Thunderboid...

I've used TB for years, and recently upgraded to a new computer with Windows 8.1. I installed the latest TB 24.4.0 and email accounts, and started to set up filters. I found that if I set up a filter and then immediately Run it that it works, but if I set up a filter and didn't immediately Run it, it would not run at all, whether manually or when restarting. I've even tried changing the filter to see if it would run, but it won't work at all. All the usual settings are in place, but it won't run, and the filter log doesn't show any activity.

Thunderbird keeps hanging and displaying "a script on the page may be busy..." with the above message. I thought that the latest update would fix the problem but it seems to have made it worse. My system is W7 64BitUltimate with SP1. It has 8GB of RAM.

What could be the problem?

Our incoming e-mails contain a lot of images and company logos. We notice sometime, for example: company logos are *wrongly* replaced by another company logo when we reply to the email. It seems Thunderbird has linked the wrong image/logo. The wrongly linked image/logo are streched to the original image's size. When it happens, all the images in the message are mixed up with the same wrong image. When we tried to recreate this problem from the same email, this problem is not surfacing again.

Here is an example: we receive email from with Company A logo inside. When we reply to this e-mail, it happens that Company A logo is been replaced by Company B logo. Repeated trials don't repeat the problem.

we are looking for a solution to prevent this problem again, and would like to remove all image or logos in our replies or forwards.

is there a way to reply to emails by quoting its original message in plain text, instead of HTML codes?

I have 4 important email accounts in one Thunderbird profile. Some kind of corruption is suddenly causing Thunderbird to no longer send the godaddy password: "Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.secureserver.net responded: authorization failed Check your server settings.". I have thoroughly checked and rechecked the password & server settings with no luck. Now down to 'create new profile' and then reload the email history. Sounds maybe easy BUT: only 1 email account is the problem; can't simply use mozbackup because that will also backup whatever is causing this; so I need to do this manually and the problem is that all 4 email accounts are in a single "profile". So how do I separately Identify and map the various 'profile' email files to each of the 4 different email accounts in a new profile. I need to identify and separate the email data from the account profile data so that I don't transfer the possibly corrupted profile data into the new profile. I can re-input the profile data manually for each email account. It's the data I need to keep together with active email accounts. Am I on track with this or should I just transfer everything to Outlook?

Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server mail1.eircom.net responded failed. Could not determine server.

Message shows above. Deleted global thing as suggested by help. Nothing. What do I do now?

This is the only folder that is slow, and it happens with new or old messages. I have archived old messages, compacted the folders, etc. with no difference. I have also tried restarting Thunderbird in safe mode. I am running the latest version on Windows 7. Please help!

It is my understanding that the limit is 1000. Is there a default set that I can modify? Or do I have another problem. Complete error message is:
