I used unsigned extension at Firefox ESR, according to the this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox I toggled the setting about signature to false. At the previous revision (I don't know the exact revision, but it might be this year), it works well and an unsigned extension was installed well.

I updated the browser and re-installed the unsigned extension to update. To install the unsigned extension, i tried to drag-and-drop the .zip file (extension) at 'about:addon', but error occurs, saying "이 부가 기능은 손상된 것 같으므로 설치할 수 없습니다." (I think, this is translation of the following:"This add-on could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt.") So I added the unsigned extension through 'about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox'. Then the unsigned extension is installed, but it is deleted when I close firefox.

Could you let me know how to install the unsigned extension?

I installed the Norton AntiTrack App on my computer, then added the Norton AntiTrack Extension to Mozilla Firefox. After these installations, Firefox is still unable to communicate. I've deleted all installations, reinstalled and i continue to get the message unable to communicate when I click on the Norton AntiTrack Extension pinned to the menu bar. I have spent hours trying to figure this out without success.

Thank you for the help! I'm wondering if other AI chatbots, Lumo, in particular, will continue to be added as options to the updated sidebar? An unofficial extension exists (https://codeberg.org/daskashk/lumo_ai_by_proton_chat_in_sidebar) that adds the ability for a link to appear in the sidebar. However, it does not offer the full integration that the official browser update provides to the other supported LLMs. I like Lumo for its privacy, encryption, and the ability to make "Projects." Don't really have too much to say just needed help on understanding how these extension things work because I am not familiar with them at all I've just learned about him not even two weeks because I bought Chromebook and that's the first time I've ever seen them so I have no idea I don't even how to even activate them I read every single before downloading it but I'm still not understanding on how to even use it or even start to use it I have autism so I don't understand new things as well as others so I need extra help but by the time I know and know how to you know you all this I'd be able to help others after I learn how to you know do it because when I learn about anything new I get obsessed subs and I started learning everything about it

Technical Specifics & Implementation Questions:

   Manifest Configuration: Is the sidebar AI provider list controlled via a remote settings push, or is there a local about:config or JSON manifest (e.g., within the browser resources) that can be modified to include Grok's web URL?

   Context Injection: How does the current sidebar handle DOM context for features like "Summarize this page"? If I were to manually add Grok via a side-loading method, what are the required API hooks for it to achieve parity with the built-in providers?

   User Agent & Authentication: Are there specific CORS policies or User-Agent strings enforced within the sidebar's iframe/browser-view that would prevent Grok’s X-auth or real-time streaming (SSE) from functioning correctly?

Use Case: Integrating Grok’s real-time information retrieval directly into the browser’s native sidebar would significantly optimize research workflows involving live data, which is a key differentiator from the currently supported models.

I know that there is already default containers built-in without the need of the extension. But there's no way to open tabs in containers when we click a link, only when it's typed in. There's an option in settings that allow to pick a container when a new tab is opened, but that's it. It would also be great to move the Mozilla VPN and integration and sync function from the extension to the settings page for easier access.

I have been with Firefox since Netscape Navigator so I understand how it works. I have a Bulletin Board Forum (work on it daily). Posting to the forum using long form bbcode is very time consuming and tedious.

I've been using bbCode for Web Extensions (bbCodeWebEx) (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bbcodewebex/) for years and up until the recent Firefox update it has worked perfectly.

I have tried using the extension on multiple sites. The extension is there and functional but nothing registers in the edit windows. not even here.... I've looked for replacement extensions but none have the specific abilities I need for posting on my forum. Specifically- The ability to select an img coded image address and make it link to a specific webpage url. Other common bbcode can be tagged using the edit window's fully enabled wysiwyg editor. I'm not sure if other extensions are having issues with this release but the rest of my extensions function normally. Something changed which blocks the paste functionality of the coded clipboard text into the edit window. I might be a developer issue but my question to him is, as so far, unanswered.

I tried to install an older version of Firefox, Downloaded the install, created a new profile, uninstalled this version and it worked until I restarted Firefox (with updates set to manual). It automatically updated and I lost it again. I tried using ~about:profiles~ to revert but it reverted as that profile this version. Years ago, I used Waterfox so I could use the Legacy extensions. I stopped using it when I got accustomed to the new extensions. For the past few years, Firefox is the only browser I use. I don't want to have to cut my teeth on a new browser but as the administrator for my forum, I use bbcode everyday.

I am wondering if any other Firefox users are having issues with the recent update? Thank you for reading my concerns.

Create a Firefox addon that blocks AI search result summaries. They are intrusive and unhelpful. Mozilla Firefox have acknowledged the community's desire for less AI usage, and now is the time to put this into practice, by giving users tools to block AI during their browsing experience.

Fire fox wont allow Prowriting aid to run. Its a desktop app and should be able to run. I have tried updating both programs. Changed settings and done everything I can think of but it still wont work. I dont wish to change Browsers but may be forced to if this problem cant be fixed

I am a long time Chrome user but decided to give Firefox a try for various reasons. 1 like Firefox's ability to highlight and add text comments to articles and documents. One feature lacking, or maybe it exists but I have not discovered it, would be the ability to copy and save all highlights / commnents in an article / document to subsequently use them as a summary, abstract, or digest of main points To preclude having to re read the entire document again And that's wanting to do so. There is a Chrome extension called Highlighter that Does just that , supports the copy all highlights.
