I just switched from Ubuntu 22.04 to Fedora 40 and copied my files over, including my Firefox profile and KDE settings. I have hit a few snags, such as that the language setting is totally ignored, but the most annoying is that the addess bar stopped autocompleting URLs I type and instead just flickers the suggestions popup away whenever I type. I tried troubleshooting mode and for every new tab the autocomplete works once but once I type the second letter it flickers the suggestions away again and doesn't work. To me it looks like the issue is that the suggestions popup maybe messes with the window focus as I noticed that menus and such seem to be implemented as borderless windows in Firefox. I also tested it in about:home using the search box there (which redirects your input to the address bar) and in there the first typed letter also autocompletes and after that each new typed letter just flickers the suggestions away for a split-second.

Incase it helps, I installed firefox-dev from the4runner's COPR "firefox-dev"

i have m2 mac book air with 15.1 Beta (24B5035e) OS when i try to download firefox for my laptop it always defaults to 64-bit version not arm64 version due to this i am facing multiple performance issues. When you have the 'Open links in apps' setting turned on, clicking a link will open the app but also open the link in browser as well. This is annoying because if I'm searching for something and switching back to the browser, I have to click back every time to go back to the search results.

- This is a problem on Firefox Beta for Android - I have a Pixel 8a - It works fine on standard Firefox for Android - It is not specific to one app - The open in app part works fine. It's just the browser shouldn't also go to the website at the same time.

After finding out Firefox was storing over a gigabyte of cookies, I figured it might be wise to set it up to clear them except for sites I used regularly. However, I've recently noticed that Youtube will clear regardless. I've tried entering the domain both as youtube.com as well as www.youtube.com, but my video display preferences aren't retained. This doesn't happen for other sites, like Reddit or Tumblr. What do I need to enter in the exception list to keep my settings?

For some reason, command-n doesn't generate a new window in Firefox (131b) on Mac (Sequoia). I have to click on the icon in the Dock to generate a new window. Command-n WORKS when I have an existing window but fails when I have no windows open. Truly bizarre. I've looked on forums (fora) and various help pages etc but no joy. any help appreciated E

Every time i update my bookmarks are removed and my extensions which I pin get unpined I can´t even open a tab without using settings. I need to reinstall my browser.

In firefox developer edition, when opening a new window of any kind, or when relaunching/opening the app, the new tab button always ends up on the left hand side. Going to the customization menu, I can move the button to the right side (next to the last tab), which is where I prefer it, however when opening any new window the button goes back to the left side

After a recent update, I noticed that my toolbar changed suddenly. I was able to rebuild it how I like and most of it stays, however, the "Open A New Tab" button refuses to stay where I want it.

Whenever I open a new window of Firefox, the "Open A New Tab" button is found on the leftmost side of my screen beside the new tabs. If I go to the "Customize Toolbar" page, I am able to move it so it stays to the right of the rightmost tab, which is where I want it to be.

Anytime I open a new window, whether it's through dragging a tab onto another monitor, or opening Firefox the first time after turning on my computer, my change gets reversed.

How can I permanently move this button to the desired position?

This did not become an issue until an update about a week or so ago.

Whenever I try to download a pdf file, I can’t view it afterwards or export it to another app. Also exporting to another app like Goodnotes doesn’t work. Please fix this bug on ios!

This issue is not just for united4respect. I've encountered it in DNC phone banking login as well, it does seem to be a scale to win set of pages.

Issue: in order to log in to scale to win web pages, it requires me to type in my email address in the provided field in the link above. What I get: nothing. Typing does not happen What I did not do: go into troubleshoot mode What I want: is this an extension issue? Is it a FF Dev build issue? I don't have stable FF here. It's iffy troubleshoot mode fixes, depends on problem. What I did: use chrome. It worked. I prefer FF.

Later: I checked the 2 extensions that could possible be at fault, and they are NOT it: malwarebytes and ghostery extensions. I disabled both. I tried typing in the scale to win website, regular FF mode (not troubleshooting). Still no typing allowed.

I then changed fonts from arial to times new roman. No difference, no typing takes place.

Hi, I'm a new user switching from Chrome. I've downloaded Firefox Developer Edition, and it's a fantastic product. I'm really satisfied with it. However, the only thing I can't figure out is how to enable JavaScript editing directly from the developer tools. Could you please let me know if there's a way to do this?

I found an archived question from last year and from it looks like, the situation has not been resolved. Autofill has not worked for a really long time now. It works fine on my PC but not at all on my Firefox Android app. Is this just something that will not come back? It's frustrating to say the least.

i just got updated to version 132.0b1 mozilla firefox developers edition, and it seems they have changed things arround, the redo and undo button are all the way to the top right now and i dont see a new tab button at the right side of opened tabs can someone tell me how to re enable it

My account was correctly backed up on my Samsung galaxy than It brake and I configurate a new huawey phone and got Mozzilla again but when I signed up I surpriserly sow nothing simply nothing was baked, I repeat the old phone was just backed up before broken. I am wondering if it is at all possible to adjust the settings when pulling a tab into a new window. For example, if I am running Firefox fullscreen I would like the tab that I pull to be opened in windowed form. I noticed that this is typically the case when using Chromium-based browsers, but noticed that on Firefox it stays in the format as the previous window. (if already windowed the pulled tab will also be windowed) is there a way to ensure that the pulled tab will always be windowed?
