With most emails, when I forward, at top of body of new email is a header line that says "---forwarded message---", and I'm given space above that to type new text. But with a few emails (particularly some received from commercial entities), no forwarded message line appears. Instead, the forwarded message begins with the Table that includes the subject, date, from, to, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to insert new text above that table. I'm unable to place my cursor ABOVE the table so I can start typing. I feel like this is a stupid problem, sorry.

I tried searching Support for help on this, no luck. If someone can direct me to a previously-written solution, please help me find that. Thanks much. I'm using 91.6.0 64 bit.

Starting yesterday (Feb 18, 2022) deleted messages are not sent to trash - they just disappear. Windows 10, Thunderbird 91.6.1 32 bit. Server is POP.

I have done 'repair folder' and I have done restart.

Suggestions?

I've just upgraded from Thunderbird 52 on Windows to 91.6.1 on Linux. Everything works great - except the scrollbars.

The default scrollbars were quite narrow - I got that fixed by changing some of the scrollbar settings. But the most important functionality is still missing.

The first bit is the up/down arrows/buttons. I enabled the setting "widget.non-native-theme.gtk.scrollbar.allow-buttons", but that's not enough to make the buttons appear it seems.

The second bit is what happens when you click above or below the slider. On Windows/TB52 you would move one "page" up or down. On Linux/TB91 you move to the part of the list you click on. This would be fine, for a folder of 20-30 messages. But in folders with thousands of messages I really miss the functionality of old Thunderbird.

Is it possible to enable practical scrollbars in modern Thunderbird?

By default my installation of Firefox has POSIX permisssions of rwx rwx rx. I installed the app as admin so the user bits are fine, but I would prefer that the group bits were rx. Would changing the bits present any problem to the app's operation? Would a regular user be prompted for the admin credentials in order to update the app?

Hello everyone. I have a very low Internet speed, and images in firefox sometimes take a very long time to load and have to wait... in this regard, I have a question. Is there a way to change the background of uploaded photos-pictures, from white to dark, as Google Chrome. Thank you in advance.

Started a couple days ago the master volume of my laptop was much lower than before. I found out that when I play any video in Firefox the master volume will go back to normal. Otherwise the master volume remains lower when playing from any app. I also tried to see with other web browsers but there is only change with Firefox.

i - Win7 User - wanted to change my Browser from Google Chrome to Firefox; i tried the Option in Firefox, to import all Log-in Data & Passwords but... Half of them is missing & Firefox doesn't automatically fill out my Log-in Info & Password.

Any Solutions to this? 'cause i still would like to change my Standard-Browser to Firefox!

I need to view my past search history from almost a year ago for a civil court case.

Unfortunately, my browser has been set to delete everything and I cannot see any search history prior to today's data.

Is there a way to view my past search history even though it's already been deleted?

About:telemetry shows an ID value in General Data. Is this the basis for firefox calculating the number of active users? Because the ID value is different for my across different versions of Firefox on the same computer.

I have spent an hour researching Firefox articles on telemetry, privacy policy and I still do not know what is the basis of the active users statistic. I have read that my IP address is logged in addition to the telemetry data visible in the about:telemetry page, but this does not mean that my log in with Firefox accounts is used as part of telemetry data or in tracking my usage of Firefox.

I have attached troubleshooting data to see what is included.

Hey! Im hosting my project on Amazon S3 server and its running a Unity WebGL webpage for me. All working perfectly untill i decided to have more than obe Scene in the project. When im in VR in Firefox Reality and click a button to take me to the new scene the VR image freezes on my head set. I have to exit VR and enter it again to work and the Auido clip has a delay after this too.

Not sure where to go the answer. Thanks for your help!

I am out of town with poor Wi-Fi/phone access. While working thru my e-mail files, my inbox became deleted. Is there a way to recover the files even when they are not in your trash/delete file?

How to recover deleted history of a few hours ago

I accidentally deleted history of the past hour a few minutes ago. I have not restarted my pc or restarted firefox for that fact. I had some session cookies in whatsapp and wish to login back to my session which can only be done by retrieving those cookies and site settings. How do I do it? I am on Linux but any casual solution will do.

Something has been making my Mac crash multiple times per day. I've been trying to be very methodical in figuring out whether one of the apps I use is causing the problem During this time, I have been getting notifications that there is a new version of Firefox available. I have been pushing the update off until checking on other apps. This morning, I checked to see what version I was running on, before making a support query. Imagine my surprise, when I discovered "Firefox is up to date." Because I had been telling it not to update yet. It doesn't seem likely that I accidentally updated it without noticing, since I have been working with several windows open. It's hard not to notice the windows closing, and re-opening, and the time lag while the front pages all refresh. Has Firefox begun forcing updates on Macs, as it has done for Windoze? I hope not! It's painstaking enough doing this kind of troubleshooting, without versions of apps changing, unannounced!

My wife has started receiving emails in TB 91.6.1 (64 bit) which have .heic files attached. I've added an extension to Win10 so that Windows is happy to open .heic files using the default Windows Photos. I click on one in the directory and it opens properly. But when I click on one in TB it just does nothing.

Yes, I can tell my wife she always has to manually download the file to a subdirectory, then navigate to that subdir manually and finally open the file manually. That's really a cumbersome non-starter though. Isn't there some way to tell TB to just open the file with the default Windows app? Firefox does that automatically if I open a .heic file from my computer.

I had over 15 VIP tabs open for work collated over a length of time. I closed my computer on sleep only. I came back and all tabs were gone and there is no tab recovery or restore even though it has been set up a long time ago and worked before. It seems to be off now. Please help I need all these tabs back urgently. Thank you
