Thunderbird runs slow...ie when I type an email I can easily type faster than thunderbird will accept characters....(this does not happen in other applications)...this happened about a month ago, and then stopped ( I have no idea why)...but the problem is back. I am running Ver 115.10.0 build 2024012173147. Rebooting windows 11 makes no difference.... I just tried to enter Troubleshoot mode and thunderbird stopped responding....Top line says Mozilla Thunderbird (Not Responding). Thunderbird is connected to my gmail account. ...and I run IMAP....with 'store all messages on the computer', but thunderbird wants to load every email from the server'

After the latest update, Thunderbird does not open. On line instructions say to erase some programs in it's file location. Did that, and the program booted. However, today, it will not open again. Can you fix this issue with another release, or should I try to go back to the previous release? If so, how to go back to the previous release without losing all my set up? I recently noticed that the reader mode is gone from every website I visit on my android device. I've confirmed that the same websites have the option available on a desktop browser. This might be related to, but isn't entirely the same as, another issue I've read about here where the reader mode throws an error. My issue is different in that the reader mode simply isn't available. I don't get any error messages because there is no icon to click. Version 124.2
Anyone know if this is the same or a different issue? I almost exclusively read websites via reader mode so this is a significant impact to the way I browse and read things on my mobile device. Any help would be appreciated!

Firefox decided to remove the total amount of homepage shortcuts. For months, it allowed for 4 rows and 8 columns, with blank "Add Shortcut" shortcuts. This allowed me to organize or split my shortcuts better. This morning, it decided to move all shortcuts together. As per the "Before" and "After" screenshots attached.
Usual disclaimers: Firefox 125.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10 No Config edits No extensions currently installed manipulate, affect or otherwise influence shortcuts

I'm using the latest version of THUNDERBIRD for WINDOWS (now 10 HOME), but this problem has existed for years with previous versions of THUNDERBIRD and former releases of WINDOWS, both HOME & PRO releases. And, it seems to be very specific. When i receive e-mails from (especially) 2 friends who both use AOL as their e-mail client, when I receive them, the imaged files (or memes) are always 'converted into attachments, and what shows in the Body Text of the e-mails is empty boxes. Yet, when I get e-mails from others, including from commercial sources, if there are images within the Body Text, they are present there. This IS very annoying because many times the e-mails I get from these two friends are technical e-mails, with clarifying images as part of the Body Text. When I have mentioned this to them, their responses are that n one else complains, only me, and so the problem MUST BE at my end, but that doesn't make sense, since when I receive e-mails from others (Gmail, etal.) any included images are fully where they belong. ++++++++++++++++++++ Secondly, WHY is it that when there are threaded e-mails in the Sent folder, the ARROW to expand the thread appears at the left side, but in the Delete folder the ARROW appears between the title of the e-mail & the next column? This IS very annoying!!!! Also, when I'm in the DELETE folder, sometimes only two options appear at the right side: Archive Delete, BUT in other incidences, there's a plethora of alternative options, and the Delete option is positioned in a different place. More often than not, I click on the option to send it e-mail to the Archive folder, when I really wanted to Delete it permanently. Another major annoyance!!!! Thank you robert herold

I'm using Firefox with Google as my default search engine. When ever I try to type in the Google search box, what I am typing appears in the address bar. I want to search in the Google search box as it is at eye level for what I am doing. I have tried all sorts of ideas from the web to fix this but no joy. Does anyone know how I disable this?
