If you changed your password in the provider you dont need change in the Thunderbird, cant you using Thunderbird with the new password?

Diego needs to learn English. I can't make heads or tails of his reply.

The problem is: once Thunderbird is set up to receive email, there is no place to change it to a new password for an existing account..

The password of your accounts can be changed only in the webemail site not in Thunderbird!

Article is good solves the problem but it should be in basic documentation to save time for those of us who want to change passwords because of possible compromise. Cannot risk changing password on the email server and then find cannot easily change it on Thunderbird.

It would be nice if there was some kind of a link to that article when enter password is activated. I can't believe how easy it is to change a password. I just wish my eyes would have caught the check box.
