I cannot access a tv channel's online tv catch up episodes because 'your browser is blocking ads". My Mozilla settings say Adblock Plus 2.4 is enabled (see box copied below). I cannot work out how to change that. I have tried typing 'false' where it says 'true' but can't over write it. Help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. You can click the ABP toolbar button to check which items are blocked.

You can disable extensions on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" (about:addons) page.

I just started to have the same problem a couple of days ago on the ITV player website. I have restarted Firefox with all addins etc disabled (ie in safe mode), have checked all plugins are up to date and disabled my anti virus programme but still get blocked due to having ad blocking software which I can;t find to disable . Any help would be much appreciated.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

Hi. many thanks for your prompt response. Unfortunately I did as you suggested but there was no difference. For windows I did the shift and left click reload and nothing changed. I then did a "forget about this site" as suggested and tried again. Did this a few times but still got the the same message.

I notice Parvati (above) asked what is the ABP toolbar...can someone assist with that fix perhaps ?

There must be many people with this new problem I think who used to watch ITV catch up. Many thanks
