I tried to customize FireFox so I can use it with the USPTO.GOV web site (https://efs.uspto.gov/TruePassSample/AuthenticateUserLocalEPF.html). Firefox stopped working and I get the crash reporter, nothing else. Safe mode does not start.

I removed Firefox and cleaned as much as I could. Reinstallede. Same thing.

Latest crash code is Crash ID: bp-5749ac70-a46c-40c0-88a0-c68962130920 Running XP SR3.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

It seems that this is now fixed in version 25.0. You can download Firefox beta or wait 6 weeks for this to be put into that version.
