cannot remove firefox from my programs why?? i need to uninstall it as it is not running

firefox got slower and slower and eventually stoped running on my desktop. I tried to uninstall it in my control panel and it wouldnt.

I have also tried all the other methods suggested on your help page and I still cannot uninstall/remove. I need to do this to reinstall an updated version

what can I do ????? Remembering that i have allready tried what was suggested on your help pages

Uninstalling probably won't resolve the slowness issue, but we can resolve that in other ways.

Have you tried to Reset Firefox? Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

I have tried everything that was suggested to me on firefox's help page i reset firefox at least 3 times NOTHING happened.

Your My Web Search plug-in probably isn't the major cause of your problems but it won't be helping. Google "problems with my web search" for information.

Hi Alan tried all you suggested and still cannot uninstall firefox almost like its glued there. it seems my only solution will be to clean my computer entirely thanks fo the help appreciated

Have you tried a separate uninstaller? A number of software products e.g. CCleaner have a built-in uninstaller or something like Revo Uninstaller.

Normally you could try installing the update over the existing version but if it is as dead as you say . . .
