last two versions do not play well with pogo.com. how do I fix this?

The latest versions have kept me from using pogo.com, a game site that uses java applets. I have checked the forums and performed the following actions with no results: 1. cleared history, cache and cookies. 2. accessed plug-ins page and insured all were up to date. 3. individually disabled plug-ins to isolate a possible conflict. 4. insured latest versions of Firefox and java were up to date.

These problems did not exist prior to the Firefox 3.6.11 version. I had the problem solved with this version by disabling a "default plug-in 2.0", but the problem returned with the newer version of Firefox. Attempted same fix with no luck.

Game site runs well under Safari. (I'm using MAC OS X 20.6.4).
