I'm running Firefox 4.0b6 on an iMac dual core machine and I'm seeing the following message when I try to open Firefox - "A secure network communication has not been cleaned up properly" and I have no idea what this means. I can run Safari with no problem but each time I try to open Firefox, I get this message

This is a known bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=588511 - it is fixed and you'll see it resolved in the next beta update.

However, it shouldn't be happening every start up. Are you running a stable version of Firefox alongside 4.0 beta, on the same profile? That could be the cause.

If you are interested in running a clean profile for your beta version, see Managing Profiles

The behavior of the stable Safari version you are using isn't really relevant.
