Single click highlights all of address bar after update

This lands in the "other" department. After getting sick of the nagging done by people who do not answer the question posted and the nagging by the program(firefox) itself I allowed it to update to the latest and greatest 94.0.1 (64-bit) . Now despite following suggestions to toggle true or false in about:config settings a single left click highlights all the text in an address bar. Have never gotten the windows taskbar to reappear when firefox is maximized so that continuing in this "update" is not unexpected. It is with some regret that I am finally done dealing with firefox after 30+ years . Any company that takes it upon itself to tell me what is best for me does not deserve my continued support.
