Keeping my Firefox logged in
Hi all, I just purchased a new computer, and the first thing that I did was download Firefox onto it. However, I've become frustrated over the last few days, as even though I immediately signed into my Firefox account upon opening the browser, when I close it and then open it back up later on everything is signed out, including my Firefox profile. How do I make it so that every time I open my browser, it is already signed in, and I don't have to type in my username and password over and over again. Thanks in advance for your help!

Firefox amnesia can occur on Mac if Firefox.app does not install successfully into the Applications folder (after which, you run Firefox from that folder, and not from the .dmg file). Could you check the steps in the following article to see whether you they help you get a permanent installation:

Your ‘logged-in’ status is stored in special cookies. If the cookie is removed, you are logged out.
You may be in Private Browsing mode or told Firefox not to remember.
Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.
Turn off Always Use Private Browsing Mode Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving the others off.
