lockwise password display

I was just little concerned. If lockwise allows your saved passwords to be decrypted and displayed as ascii characters, isn't that a bit risky if someone hacks into my acount?

Hi Gary, let me describe two aspects of this:

(1) All of your Firefox data is saved locally on disk, and someone who gains physical access to your computer doesn't need to know your Firefox Account login to access stored data.

To secure the local copy of the passwords, you can create a Master Password. The Master Password does not sync, it is purely local. More info: Use a Primary Password to protect stored logins and passwords.

(2) If someone else successfully connects to your Firefox Account, they can sync your saved data to their own installation of Firefox and use/read the data locally.

To prevent that, you can use a strong password, be careful where you enter it, and consider using multi-factor authentication (although a couple users a month report that they ended up locked out of their account when they lost their authentication method). More info: Secure your Mozilla account with two-step authentication.
